A good spot to stay for business, though it is a little pricey, but that would be due to its facilities onsite. Rooms very spacious and clean. Be prepared for some noise late at night, depending on what is happening in in the gambling room. Some people were a little argumentative when leaving and caused a raucous in the car...

Ok it is a very comfortable hotel to sleep in with parking close to the room access. It has comfortable beds and good quality television with minibar as well. Only issue with the bathroom is that they have water saving shower heads which make the shower experience a rather slow dribble of water meaning it takes longer to soap down....

We arrived too late into town for a room and didn't feel comfortable staying at the pub. Our only other option was Desert Cave, which the owner kindly gave us a last minute reduction, however it was still more expensive than we would like to have paid. We stayed above ground and the room was very average, with a tiny...

Dear BestValueDeals, Thanks for taking the time to review your recent stay with us. Apologies that the air-freshener in the room was a bit strong. I've passed these comments onto our housekeeping team to review the type we use, and the amount that's used. Pleased you enjoyed our underground display. We hope to welcome you back again sometime. Happy travels!...

It was quite an experience to sleep in a cave. There was no heating and it felt cold (especially when you take a shower). Once the light was turned off, it was very dark. Luckily, there was a small light in the childrens room. We did not take breakfast as we left very early to take the Greyhound.

Dear Wout V, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay with us here at Desert Cave Hotel. The underground room experience is quite a contrast from our above ground accommodation as the rooms are very dark once the lights are out, which is not for everyone. Additional blankets are in each room however as you mention,...

Clean and surprisingly pleasant service. Rooms are very quiet and still. No air conditioning required as room temperature is constant all year round. An oasis in the outback. Very clean. Why stay elsewhere and no experience the unique nature of an underground room at an affordable price

If you are looking for a little up-market accommodation in the Opal Capital of Australia, look no further. My teenage son and I shared one of the 'underground' rooms which was both reasonably spacious and equipped.
