Not only is it an experience to stay in an underground motel but this place surpasses all others. It is well located to town and noodling sites, spotlessly clean and Mike is very welcoming and helpful. Mike offers a wealth of information regarding Coober Pedy and the sites, he even lent us a pick and shovel to go noodling. Breakfast...

It was a unique experience to sleep in an underground motel. The room was very comfortable with excellent ensuite facilities. It was brilliant to sit on the verandah eating our continental breakfast as we looked out on the outback landscape. Similarly having a beer at sunset in the same setting was equally as good.

Having booked to stay here months ago we're not disappointed. The size of the room and view, has left us speechless. The recommendations to see and do in Coober Pedy were spot on, and when everyone asks where we are staying, all know them well. The Breakaways view is spectacular from the motel.

I stayed here for one night whilst travelling up north for work. The room was spacious and stayed very cool throughout the evening. Mike was a great host, very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again. Thanks!

So happy we stopped here - Mike was just lovely and so welcoming. Don't think you can beat this place on price. It is a must do if in the area and want to experience staying underground. It was way more than we expected. We stayed in a small apartment, with two bedrooms and small kitchen.

We stayed in room 8 which is separate from other rooms that are at top of property. Room 8 has 2 bedrooms and has very good continental breakfast provisions. Room was very clean and so cool on a 43 degree day. Merci was fantastic responding to any queries we had before booking and was very prompt at responding to emails....

We stayed here as a family of 4 on our way to Uluru. Staying underground was a bit of a treat. I couldn't fault the staff and the facilities - A+ for it all. The help yourself breakfast was great. The price was very very reasonable and we were just down the road from the Catacomb Church. I thought we...

Awesome motel experience. Great value for money and very friendly and helpful staff. Coober Pedy is not just a stop off on the way to Adelaide. The heart of the town is underground and the people are genuinely friendly.

We were not in the motel but one of 2 rooms completely underground. You saw the parking space, the garden and the door. Everything else was underground. I was blown away. There was a double bed a small lounge room and a bathroom. The walls were natural. We were so glad we stayed here and the staff were so welcoming...
