We were booked in the caravan park, but the weather was so hot our little ac wasnt doing anything. We called around and the underground motel was the best price for a late booking at 7. The room was an apartment type room with 2 bedrooms ect... But the owner gave a big discount because we were just a couple....

The owner helped us out a bunch by shifting us around other rooms to fit us in last minute. At 10pm at night. We were so grateful because he was the only one that picked up the phone. We spent a few extra days in Coober pest because of the flooding! Was a well kept motel for the price! I...

stayed 1 night passing through CP on the way to William creek. The owner was nice and helped us out with finding out if the roads were okay. They turned out to be fine in the end. he went out of his way to ring someone who drives on them every day.

Motel rates its self as 3 star I was blown away at the room quality. Friendly owner went out of his way to help us out when our car got a flat over night. I will come again! 120 bucks a night is well worth it, when its 40c+ outside you dont even notice.

Able to book us in, lucky for us it was their last room. A different experience living underground. It wasn't cold like you might think. In fact it was quite warm. Had to have the ceiling fan on low all night. Bed was comfortable. Good shower. Room was a little dated and could have done with a fresh touch of...

Had a great time staying here. It's a perfect place to experience underground living in Coober pedy. Recommended for all travellers who are going through this place to Uluru or Alice. We stayed here for one night. Customer service was excellent and welcoming.

Hello, My family stays at the Underground Motel just about every time we pass back through Coober Pedy on our way to Alice Springs. We stay in a family suite which easily accommodates the six of us (four kids, 2 adults). Room is always clean and cool and the breakfast choice is simple but enough. We also enjoy topping up...

Perfect little stop over hotel, good clean rooms with good beds and adequate showers, although the rooms are a little small. Lots of parking directly outside of you room so no needs to be carrying bags/suitcases far, and most importantly keeps you completely cool in those hot months
