Stayed here for 3 nights at the Hunter room, and we had a great relaxing experience. Jess (team leader) welcomed us on the first day, and showed us around the property. We stayed on the 2nd level (Hunter Room), and has the view of the mountains and access to a private balcony. The lodge is beautifully restored, with modern luxury amenities. We also have dinner here at their Deodara restaurant, and it is SPECTACULAR. See photos. The menu is designed for sharing, and you dont have to choose what to order - which makes it easy. Booking is recommended.
Words cannot describe how perfect and beautiful Maylands Lodge is. We stayed here for 3 nights over our honeymoon and they were the best 3 nights! The rooms were elegant, stylish and spacious. And the breakfast...the best food we have eaten! The hostess was so willing to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We didnt have a microwave in our room and we asked to use one to heat food, she went out of her way to bring one to our room to use. The building itself was restored in a way that you wish every heritage building to be. Definitely a must stay in Hobart!
We recently had the privilege of staying at Maylands Lodge and meeting the wonderful Jess who greeted us with a smile and welcomed us to Maylands. It is a beautiful restored building high up on the hill, gracious and statuesque. The artwork and decor is jaw dropping with attention to detail. The breakfast served in the dining room was mouth watering with an array of food and options to suit every fussy palate. The building has beautifully maintained gardens which add an air of elegance and grandeur. We highly recommend staying at Maylands which is no more than 10 minutes by car to city centre Hobart. My husband and I stay here for 1 night in Jan 2021. Cant recommend this place enough! beautiful building, beautifully landscaped. Very secure with electirc security gates. Our room was so much more than we expected. Very clean and inviting. Beautiful view of Mount Wellington. Staff were helpful and friendly. To top it off, breakfast was delicious. We will definitely retun.
We stayed here for a short break in Hobart. The house is amazing and beautifully restored to its original grandeur. We booked a Hunter Suite which was nicely furnished and had terrific views over the gardens. Service is excellent under the control of the omnipresent Jess who brings a calm, happy aura to every aspect of the hotel The Deodora restaurant menu is excellent
