This was the only property available when we decided to add a trip to Tasmania to our vacation. Being the holidays and the yacht race, we were lucky to find a room. We do not frequent casinos, but casino hotels are usually pretty nice, in our previous experience, so we weren't really concerned. The room was small, with a queen...

If you are not a gambler then suggest you skip Wrest Point until the refurbishment takes place. Most of the other recent posts on this hotel have covered things pretty well. If you can't swollow the over priced breakfast take a 10 minute walk down the road to LIV EAT.

We stayed at Wrest point on New Years Eve and it was the perfect location. The staff were friendly and attentive and our room was very comfortable although a little out dated. The only negative about the stay was that their iron ruined a piece of my clothing :( Also appreciated the late checkout the next day.

Good hotel. Nice rooms. Food choices are good. Best is the views of the harbour. Service is very good. May be a bit expensive but the location is the main attraction. Staff are very cooperative and they helped us a lot.

Booked Executive Suite. horrified at the decor. Looks like the designer had a thing for 70's style mustard yellow on the walls and ceiling combined with a horrendous orange carpet. Austin Powers eat your heart out ! Literally the only saving grace is the stunning view. Not worth the price of the room. My wife and I have stayed in...

We checked in on the eve of Christmas and got a very pleasant surprise gift from Santa Claus. Relatively expensive by Australian standards but has a relaxed country style atmosphere. The cleaners are a little too relaxed as the bathroom floor had not been cleaned since the renovation and the air-conditioning thermostat was problematic and required tech support. A little isolated without a vehicle but the executive tower room provided a panoramic view of Sandy Bay. Enjoyable experiences...
