We have been staying here whenever we visit Hobart for many years. The location is brilliant - a 2 minute walk to restaurants and cafes and 5 minutes to Salamanca Place. it is always easy (and free) to park the car. For the past 2 years the motel has been undergoing renovations and there is currently no carpet in the...

Yes we also stayed during the renovation period after Christmas and to New Year with my parents in one room and my wife and I and our 6 month old baby next door. My review has negatives, however in the end the positive outweigh the negatives and my family had an enjoyable stay. I was disappointed at first, the concrete...

The air con didn't work, and as the people next door were so noisy we wanted to close the windows and use air con but we couldn't. Lights above the bed didn't work. Bathroom pipes were really noisy and you knew exactly when the people next door were having a shower. Rooms aren't sound proof. You could hear everything. Room...

We stayed here while we were visiting Hobart for the MONA FOMA festival. We requested a view and the view of the harbour from the top floor was beautiful. This hotel is currently undergoing renovations and the room we stayed in was in the I renovated state. It was quite charming but the renovated rooms do feel more spruced up....

We booked via a travel agency in Melbourne. They quoted as 3star hotel, which is not nearly close to a so called "motel" standard in all way. Half of the rooms are still under renovation. Dust everywhere, dirty and noisy!!! The room interior is so old like what I saw in the 70s movies. Cups has tea stains. Couldn't sleep...

Unfortunately during a recent seniors cricket carnival December 4th-7th we had the misfortune to reserve accomodation @ this hotel. Upon arrival we discovered our room to be very unsatisfactory. The general degree of filth overwhelmed us but as available accomodation was scarce @ the time we were forced to continue with our booking. The number of poorly maintained/ non functioning...

in all fairness - this place is in the midst of renovations and we were lucky to get a room for the night in a very busy city! Room was old but clean with a good outlook. Staff were helpful and accommodating.

Shabby top to bottom, still under renovation and may be for some time as everything needs replacement! Windows not double-glazed so very noisy and most don't close anyway. Carpets worn and stained, holes in the walls from who knows what, mold around sink and shower. Bed linens were clean, location handy for great local bakery. Give this place a pass!

Very convenient for us the place is good for family of 5 although theres only 3 of us. They have kitchen tools and utensils if you wanted to save from buying food outside. Place is located near Salamanca Market and Casino. Safe to walk during night time. The girl from the reception is nice. I reckon 30 mins extention of...

We booked a cottage for 5, there was confusion over the booking when we arrived (only room for 4), so they gave us their premo 3 bed cottage for not much more, which even at full whack represents good value. Great cottage, very spacious, great location.
