We ended our Tasmania trip in Hobart. The Lodge on Elizabeth building dates back to the early days of Hobart. While in the city there was no problem finding on-street parking. The courtyard is a site to behold. While there was quite a bit of street noise during the day, at nightfall it went away. Their lounge was spacious and...

The Lodge on Elizabeth is a beautiful, classic 1800's building, restored and in a convenient position. The rooms were very spacious, and offered all conveniences. The Hosts were very friendly, provided good information on Hobart and nearby restaurants. The breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice, and very fresh food. We would stay there again and recommend it to anyone visiting...

This was the first hotel we stopped at when arriving in Hobart Tasmainia. We also went to Strahan, Cradle Mountain, Launceston and Freycient. The Lodge is an excellent B&B or should I say Hotel. Excellent accommodation, the management were caring and had a great Cellar. I would recommend this place as a top choice. David Reynolds (dej.reynolds@me.com)

We had stayed at this B&B 15 months previously. Booked the same room; had the same great service from the friendly hosts. Breakfast was fullsome, and the whole stay enjoyable. Walking distance to the North Hobart restaurant strip. Only fault is on street parking, and for those with mobility problems, there are stairs!

We didn't actually stay here as had booked elsewhere in Hobart, but due to an overbooking elsewhere my parents spent a night here. I wish we had spent all our time at this wonderful establishment, it has an excellent location and Jeff is an superb host. He spent a lot of time introducing us to Hobart and sharing local tips...

This place is on Elizabeth Street and walking distance to most of the good restaurants and pubs in Hobart. The rooms are large and the beds are huge. The bathroom was a bit cramped with the toilet cramped up against the tub and forcing one to sit at an odd angle while downloading... 😉 Breakfast is adequate with eggs being...

Difficult to find ;but worth the effort. You will be delighted by the nineteenth century ambience and personal service. A gem! Rooms are decorated with antiques ; breakfast is delicious. The internal garden is peaceful and the babbling brook is calmative.

Located on the corner of Warwick and Elizabeth st Lodge on Elizabeth offers comftable ensuite rooms....Host's Jeff and Julie are very accomadating and helpful with any tourist information. Patking is limited to permit parking on the street outside the property....we found this to be fine. A short walk up Elizabeth street lends itsrlf to a plethora of bars and eateries.....we...

I stayed two nights at the Lodge on Elizabeth while attending a conference. It was a lovely base to come home to after a busy day rather than going to a busy impersonal hotel. The location was convenient, with the Elizabeth Street eating precinct a short walk (two blocks) up the road, and about 15 to 20 mins stroll to...
