Lodge on Elizabeth is hosted by Jeff and Julie and is a comfortable B&B, within walking distance of the Hobart CBD. Jeff not only welcomed us at 10 pm after flying in from Sydney, but he provided excellent guidance on where to go in Hobart, nearby restaurants to try, directions on how to get to the MONA ferry terminal, and...

We booked The Lodge on Elizabeth last minute online without talking to anybody about our late arrival time or our early departure the next day. We got there late, rang the after hours bell and Jeff checked us in and got us settled in our room. Jeff was sensational. We were travelling with a 10 year old child, and while...

The Lodge of Elisabeth is warm and welcoming, our hosts Jeff and Julie, made us feel as if we were quests in their home, rather than staying in a hotel atmosphere. We had a twin room, which was lovely for my sister and myself and it was tastefully decorated to fit into the period of the home. Breakfast was lovely...

This B&B deserves every bit of its 'outstanding' reviews. The hosts couldn't have been more welcoming and professional - going above and beyond to make our stay special. Beautiful old house with an amazing breakfast. Loved the lounge with free tea and coffee, plus marshmallows, biscuits and port! 15 min walk into the city was fine as it's worth it...

Well, were do I start with all the good things about this place? With the great historic building, the small, but well appointed rooms, the lovely garden, the walking distance to the main shopping area and Hobart's waterfront, the ever shorter walking distance a large range of restaurants, the lounge room with tea, coffee, port and sweets or all the...

My wife and I enjoyed all aspects of this beautiful facility. The main plus of this amazing 'Blast from the Past' was the professional service that Jeff and Julie offered. Nothing was too much. The little things like the reading room with port and chocolates and the super breakfast made our anniversary stay very memorable. Everybody seemed to be enjoying...

We had a tricky start to our stay in Hobart with our first reservation not working out. We booked The Lodge at the last minute. The host Jeff was absolutely lovely. He was very hospitable helping us with several inquiries and offering some tips about seeing Hobart such as ' book MONA.' The room was very clean and comfortable.

Great hosting by Jeff and Julie. Jeff is a don't of knowledge if you have any questions or want ideas about places to visit. The rooms are a decent size and it's a lovely historic property. Good continental breakfast too. It's about a five- ten minute walk to the harbour front and the Lodge is surrounded by stacks of lovely...

My boyfriend and I traveled in Tasmania this month, we chose to stay at The Lodge on Elizabeth which located at CBD. The hosts, Jeff and Julia, prepared us nice breakfast every morning . Also, Jeff gave us a lot of useful information (many useful leaflets for tourist could be easily found from the front desk/ reception) and suggestions for...

Built in 1829 as the Melbourne Lodge it's a beautiful place. Full of character, bright rooms and a nice dining area and a separate lounge with tea facilities and maybe a glass of port. Lovely garden sheltered and colourful with seating in the sun. Jeff and Julie are perfect hosts and very helpful. Breakfast is continental with loads of choices....
