My partner and I are currently staying in this noisy, average hotel. Our room is above the restaurant, last night had a booking of 40 very noisy but not a late night. Got to sleep. But tonight we are in our ROOM listening to the band playing in the BAR! Along with the laughter and conversations of all the people...

WITHOUT a doubt the noisiest hotel room I've ever had the misfortune to stay in. Double glazing was totally ineffectual against the late-night music from an entertainment venue almost opposite and the noisy hotel bar patrons at pavement tables just below our windows. Stained carpet in room and dangerously high step up into ensuite. Breakfast was exceedingly disappointing with no...

Enjoyed our meals in this lovely historic building. The menu could be slightly expanded and diversified but what we ordered was tasty and well presented. A great selection of wine and beer. The sevice was excellect. It was very busy so clearly very popular place.

Great location, within a throw of local ferries and wharf front and the essential life of Hobart, bars, restaurants and galleries, with museums just 400m away. Huge room, clean and well serviced. Retro plumbing of modern fittings in ensuite meant we could not turn on multi tap without spraying water everywhere, but we got used to regularly mopping up the...

Very nice rooms, very clean and nice to get a comfortable bed. Be warned of the noise coming from the Salamanca area particularly on the weekends (double glazing might have been a good idea) but not too bad. Food in the restaurant was of a high quality, good menu and excellent table service.

Dined here on Friday night, greeted by the friendly staff and shown to our table. Great menu plenty of choices, we had had the seafood chowder which was very tasty followed by seafood basket & a crumbed scallops. Could not fault the meals or the service by the very friendly staff, frequently checking we had everything we needed. Would highly...

What a fabulous little find . Absolutely central to everything. We walked everywhere. The room was great all we needed. A little noisy over bar but we were exhausted from touring every where we were kept awake. Breakfast is sensational and great coffee. All menu food looked great. Hired a car for first 2 days. Rooms are renovated. Staff excellent...
