A pub which has character and atmosphere. The craft beers are excellent and the food tasty and plentiful. The music entertainment on a Saturday afternoon is first class. Whenever we are in Hobart we always aim on visiting. A really good pub. Would recommend a visit when staying in Hobart.

Looks can be deceiving ..seems at first to be a atmospheric old pub with a lively vibe , but if you give the shared plate menu ago , you will be pleasantly surprised. Our second visit and yes it's just as good . Interesting choices , 3 x plates for $33.00 and we added their pink eyed baked potatoes, enough...

Arrived in Hobart, wandered into the pub for lunch. Great atmosphere, felt good straight away. Good selection of beers on tap, excellent wines and fantastic lunch menu. Going out for dinner so decided to have the $15 Royale Burger . . . The small one . . . Huge beef Pattie, spicy may and a pile of chips! Brilliant!

We had a number of people recommend this spot to us, we figured with so many recommendations it was worth trying. I'm so glad we did! Fantastic meals, good size portions, excellent choice of beers and wines all in a traditional pub environment. Next time we are in Hobart, we'll definitely be heading back here.

Dropped in for a drink, but ended up staying for a meal as well. Multiple ciders on tap which is nice in Hobart and decor and feel is great. Smoked beef cheeks were outstanding- melting but still juicy and vegetables accompanying well cooked as well. Likely to be a regular now!

We ate here twice during a recent visit to Hobart. Interesting tapas type menu as well as main courses. Local beers and wines on offer. A bit pricey but worth it as it was very tasty. Definitely worth a visit.

The food is interested and yummy! We have been back many times! They have Bruny Island beer on tap also which is a bonus! The price is reasonable and the fire is toasty. Its welcoming for families as well. Great little pub

Visited here last week. Warm upon entry and with interesting decor. Menu itself was interesting with your usual pub fare plus tapas type options (ie calamari, duck tongue & arancini). Some interesting beers on tap but wine list limited. Overall okay with three of our group of six generally satisfied.
