We stayed in Room 4 for two nights while exploring Hobart. Beautiful large room and bathroom with a fabulous spa, and large bay windows (to see sunrise)! Very convenient to walk to Salamanca markets, nearby restaurants and ferry terminal to MONA. Friendly staff. Definitely recommend.

We loved our two nights at Gattonside, a large, beautifully restored Victorian home within a few blocks walk of the Salamanca District. We were upgraded to a big room on the ground floor with sofa, leather-topped desk, spa tub and ceiling heat in the bathroom. The bed was wonderfully comfy and the breakfast, cereal with fruit plus eggs (cooked our...

I travelled to Hobart for a special occasion. Gattonside looked beautiful on the website. In reality the property is tired and a bit sterile. The dining room and lounge areas are lovely , sadly our ground floor room (room 2 ) was not . Two reproduction armchairs do not luxury make The 2 single beds were clean and comfortable with...

Heritage B&B in a central location to Battery Point and Salamanca. Off street parking, lovely spacious room, spa bath and just 10 minutes stroll to Salamanca and great restaurants. Lovely cooked breakfast. Perfect. Highly recommended.

Gattonside is a charming old residence, that is just a stones throw from the docks and Salamanca place area. The room was spacious and well appointed, the grounds inviting. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. they had no hesitation in assisting us with anything that we asked. Their customer service was what made this trip memorable. It was...

Our stay was a lot more than I expected. The room we stayed in (suite 1) was beautiful and the king sized bed was very comfortable. The room and bathroom was spotless, I couldn't fault it at all. The staff were were very friendly and the full breakfast was nice each morning. The sitting room and dining rooms were tastefully...

Beautifully preserved architecture and interiors. Our plane arrived late, we were able to check in ourselves as per the instructions provided. Complimentary fudge and port were top quality and served really well after a long flight from Brisbane. 5 min drive from the CBD. Property is on a main road, so gets a bit noisy during rush hour but nothing...

Lovely old Victorian heritage house, 2 stories, located on a main road in the Battery Point section of Hobart, 5 minutes drive from the CBD and 10 minutes walk for some really good restaurant’s. This place is a beautiful house with large comfortable rooms, a great breakfast, onsite parking and port on the sideboard. While you got some road noise...

We stayed 4 nights in Room 7 at the end of April at the start of a three week touring holiday of Tasmania. Our room was spacious, well equipped, with a large bathroom (shower over the bath). A bit more surface area to put cosmetics etc would have been useful for length of time. There was a slight amount of...

Stayed three nights after a week touring the East Coast of Tassie. Could not have asked for a better base for exploring Hobart. A very short walk to Salamanca and the restaurants of Battery Point. Staff were friendly and offered some good dining suggestions. The room was luxurious and very well appointed. My only criticism would be that the breakfast...
