I just spent the weekend in Hobart and was so glad I chose to stay at the Mayfair. The rooms were beautiful and I absolutely loved the old eccentric style, vcr player and all. Felt like I was back in time. All of the staff were very friendly and more than happy to help us with anything. Food in the...

We've only stayed there once and it was fabulous but we have visited the cafe many times. Great coffee, lovely wines and the best Lamb Burgers in Hobart. The staff are friendly and very helpful and there is a real sense of family amongst them all.

We stayed in the suite with a spa and found it perfect! The room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and quiet. Parking was plentiful and free. The wifi worked well. Better yet, the service was wonderful. The woman at the desk helped us with all of our questions and needs. Would highly recommend this hotel!

Very disappointed....on arrival a foldup bed only had a 3 inch mattress and the spring almost touched the ground when laying on it. The only staff person on was embarrassed by the situation and was resolved by me moving a single mattress from storage to our first floor room and laying it directly on the floor. No air-conditioning on one...

- Converted into a hotel in 1978 - Amazing vintage interiors, reminding of old times of 1980-90s - Far off from city centre, hence better to have a car to reach eating joints - No eateries nearby - Good hosts - Motel hence car park available - Nice view overlooking valley, prefer higher floor

Amazing access via Brisbane Street, virtually vertical, but once you get there it's reasonable to walk to the city, museum, Constitution Dock, etc (30 min walk fairly steep - I am a moderately fit 70yo). Very good size room and very friendly and capable staff. Adequate parking in the courtyard. 30mins to Mt Wellington and an hour and a half...

Before getting to the practical issues i need to highlight the main issue with this place. Throughout my stay there were a number of males coming and going throughout the day and night for a short space of time, it appeared strange until i noticed that three rooms were constantly booked out by a group of Asian females that occasionally...

Room furniture and fitting are of the old time era the old hotel predicts and is but its rather well set up our room was clean tidy shower pressure is poor as...

This ppty is way up the hill from the town, inaccessible with out a car, from Salamanca, any restaurants and bars or nice resort area of Sandy Bay. Reception closes at 8 pm if you lucky. Do not go to this place, unfriendly, unhelpful, don't wish to spend more of my time on it. DONT GO.

We chose this motel as everything else was booked out at the time but my wife and I were excited to try vintage style accommodation. From the looks of the motel you could be forgiven that you were walking into a Fawlty Tours set complete with 1950’s wallpaper and paintings. Interestingly there are real VHS tapes to watch!. Checking in...
