Location: Perfect for eating out and sight seeing. 5 minutes walk to the local restaurant precinct and another 5 minutes to Salamanca Place. Being in a residential street it's also nice and quiet. Room: We had the Turret room for 3 nights which we were very happy with. All the genuine original features as described. Nice big spa bath, lovely...

You know when you enter a place and it feels right -this is one of those. This place is what I expect and more -the view over the water to a slight knock on the door delivering still warm orange cupcakes Couple of minute walk to a great pub The Shipmakers Arms or various other eateries. If you want the...

We stayed in the ocean view queen suite for 3 nights and loved everything about this place. The location was amazing! A 10 min walk through beautiful historic streets and you were in Salamanca square. We had beautiful views across the bay. We got hot home baked cakes each afternoon which was a lovely touch. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was...

From the minute we walked through the grand entrance and met John, we knew our choice was a good one. Majestic, quiet, clean and comfy, perfect in every respect. The view from our corner room over the harbour and city, toward Mt Wellington was worth the cost of the room, end of story. Cleaning and servicing also great, not to...

Located in absolutely picturesque battery point, this is the perfect place to stay and enjoy the very best of Hobart. Our turret room was lovely, quiet and had amazing views. The bed is starting to sag a little, but we slept well. The spa bath was a welcome luxury- as were the yummy afternoon treats. Very well thought out kitchenette...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the beautiful Grand Vue Private Hotel. Warm, welcoming and comfortable, the location was ideal for our five night stay. The big bay window allowed an amazing view over the harbour and Mt Wellington. Our family of four (two young adult offspring) were able to walk to Salamanca Place and Hobart's waterfront and CBD. The cosy...

We stayed here for two nights last May. Sorry am a bit late with my review. Our room was superb. Beautiful bed and wonderful linens. Lovely bathroom and excellent toiletries. Divine antique furniture. We had room 6 with a little kitchenette which was great for a light breakfast and a view of the Derwent River. Our hosts were fabulous. We...

So utterly charming! From the large, brass handled front door, the kind elderly man who checked us in to the complimentary small sugar dusted muffins we came back to after dinner. Our little suite was so beautifully appointed, we were sad to only have one night there. With a large comfortable bed, small seating area by large bay windows, a...

This private hotel has only 8 rooms and it beautifully cared for. We stayed 4 nights in a waterview room. The access to food on Hampden made it perfect. Coffee shops opened ready early and restaurants opened late. It requires some walking up and down Kelly stairs to get into town which really wasn't a problem.
