Stayed in a family room with two mates on a boys w/e out. Clean rooms, quiet location and very close to Crown Casino. Was perfect for our requirements. Also have a kitchen & bar downstairs with great specials for food & drinks. Will definitely be returning.

Room was clean, staff were helpful, allowed us check out late the following morning with minimal notice. Personally I wouldn't stay here for more than a night as it is basic, but perfect for a cheap option when you need to stay a night in the city.

Kitchens like a school cooking class burnt pans washing up left everywhere nowhere near enough kitchen space for the amount of people staying there. Bathrooms are far too small. saw one guy trying to dry him self with the hand dryer not a clue why that's the type of people your living with here. Clothes will be hung on your...

Thank you for taking the time to review our venue. I’m sorry to hear your stay with us did not go as well as expected. The kitchen can get very busy at peak times, we do have staff working during this time assisting our guests with tidying up, and we also encourage our guests to clean up after themselves. At...

If you want a hostel where you can stay for an extended period of time, Urban Central is a good option. My boyfriend and I just spent the last 7 weeks living there and it was mostly alright. The dorms are small, which is nice. The location is also really good because you're really close to the CBD but still...

Thank you for taking the time to review Urban Central. I’m so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. Our four share dorm rooms have individual power points in each locker and I’ll make the suggestion of additional outlets to our maintenance team. Our Southbank location is a great area in Melbourne, it’s very easy to get around...

I didn't get much information when I arrived, and it took me a while to figure out the transports in Melbourne. The girl at the reception didn't tell me much. Nothing about the fact that you have to buy a card to get Wi-Fi, for example. The breakfast is nice, but quite early. The beds are really comfy and the...

Stayed here only for a couple of nights as it was hard to mix with people, the rooms are good and spacious with clean bathrooms but the kitchen is absolute chaos and very uncomfortable to cook in so a lot of people decide to eat out, many long term backpackers here who don't want to do much outside of work...

Thank you for taking the time to review our venue. Great to hear you like our spacious rooms and clean bathrooms. The kitchen does get busy during peak times, and for those wanting to skip cooking we have now added a nightly dinner deal from $5 at 5pm. We have added an extra pool table in our Bar334 and changed...

It was a year ago now that I stayed at urban, but it is one hostel that I would always go back to and tell people to go to. It's a close walk to southbank. Walk a block or two and you get to the free tram zones. The staff were always very lovely. Made some great friends there and...

Nice property at the Southbanks. This is good for both bagpackers (primarily) and also for hotel guests (5th floor). It is very close to the South Banks and one can get access to the Free Tram Ride within walking distance.

Book a bed in 4 ppl mixed dorm. Checked in around 12midnight. Walking distance around 10mins from Southern Cross station. There is Woolworths nearby the hostel. If you are hungry go for MCD just opposite the hostel or cook pasta by your own. There is free pasta in the kitchen. Oh ya. When you check out pls bring along the...

Location - central and convenient, but the road noise is excessive. From my room I could see the people inside their cars on the Westgate Bridge, and hear the cars all night. It is easy to get trams from this location, which is a bonus, but many locations are also an easy walk. McDonalds is directly across the road and...
