I have stayed at Urban Central many many times over the last 6 years or so, for both short and long terms, and I would rate it as the 2nd best in Melbourne, but it is slipping. The 4 bed only dorms are fantastic, especially...More

The price was cheap (23 aud for a 4 person room) but the room was smelly and really old. The hostel was a bit far from the free tram zone (around 10-15 minutes walk). Overall, the hostel was okay since it was cheapMore

Hi Bekah, many thanks for taking the time to review our property. Urban Central only offers maximum four bed rooms, so our guests have lots of space and less people in their rooms to share with. So as you said our rates are very reasonable....More

Welcome wasn't great. They seem to be more interested in chatting to eachother at reception than acknowledging you. My bed had been "made" but there were dirty linens at the foot of my bed that never got removed and there was a nail and food...More

I left my bags in the luggage room a few months back when we arrived early. It was crowded but we didn't have any problems finding enough room. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
