We are regulars, love the Club, but the food in the Bistro is no longer good. The menu is limited, boring and the dishes themselves really bland. I don't know what's happened but I hope it's a glitch otherwise we'll go elsewhere for meals. They used to have tasty interesting dishes with lots of specials, but no more. A great...

The club is in perfect place for accessing local shopping , eating places and business meetings. It seems the place would be small till you enter and discover the vast space which is just hidden away. Rooms are beautifully decorated and very spacious. Perfect view from the room. Staff are very friendly and warm. Recommendation of local food outlets to...

I have used the RACV club for business meetings on quite a few occasions and always find it a quiet, private and very professional. The prices are reasonable and although range of coffee and cake options are limited if the purpose is so talk work then it is ideal.

I stayed here with several friends for two nights. Wish it could have been longer. The warm welcome on arrival, the help with luggage and the very friendly, happy staff all helped to make our stay memorable. The modern dining facilities and variety of choice on the menu is excellent. Our room was well appointed , the bed so comfortable it...

We have been staying at the club for many years and have always admired the high standard of accomodation, dining and facilities. The room value is second-to-none and includes parking and full buffet breakfast. But I feel the standard of meals in the bistro has slipped somewhat. After an absence of a few months, we dined at the bistro this...

We stay here for a weekend once or twice a year as a family. The rooms are well appointed and clean, lots of great in-house dining options, the pool is a wonderful for lap swimmers, and service is friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast is a highlight too, so don't plan on losing weight when you visit! Situated close to...

Large and quiet rooms. Terrific location at quiet end of Bourke Street. Easy downhill 10 minute stroll to Crown Casino and restaurant precinct at Southbank. Disappointed with one meal at onsite bistro but Conference food was exceptional. Large room and facilities should assuage any doubt about paying a bit more. Smooth check-in. Seemingly happy staff throughout the complex. Highly recommend.

We had a function in the L17 function room and decided to stay for the night. The room was nicely appointed and very clean. There was some noise from an adjoining party/hotel though. Breakfast buffet was awesome, great food.

I was here for one night, and it's not a bad location and you can get a tram out the front to almost anywhere. Quiet large rooms. Its aging a little, but I think it was $350 a night. Had a meal in the members restaurant and it was quite OK, but not otherwise memorable.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
