Polite and helpful staff. Great location for business and after work entertainment. The room was spacious well equiped, clean and quiet. Opening time for breakfast was a little late for early starters, but plenty of places were open.

The Mantra on the Park is outside the busy centre but only a short walk from the shops. Handy for the trams and restaurants in Fitroy and Lygon St. The Carlton park is across the road for a pleasant stroll. Hotel apartments are roomy and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We will stay again.

The two bedroom apartment is great for a family. Lots of space in the rooms, excellent pool facilities, great access to the Royal Exhibition Building. THe kitchen facilities are well equipt. There is only minimal crockery which makes using the dishwasher awkward.

Our family of 4 recently visited Mantra on the Park and stayed 5 nights in a 2 bedroom self contained apartment. Firstly, the pro's. The location of this complex is terrific. It was very close to parks, museum's, markets, restaurants, shops and had a tram stop really close. This made getting around either by tram, walking or Uber really easy....

Would have been excellent with a TV in the main Bedroom, but overall very good. Loved we could walk to Lygon St for dinner and easy access to free trams into the Central Business District or walking distance if you wanted to

Located across the road from Carlton Gardens ( Museum and Exhibition centre) , 2 blocks from China town , 2 theatres within 5 minute walk and an IGA underneath it is pretty convenient . Rooms were generous, beds comfy and staff friendly and professional . Not as new as other places in Melbourne but great value.

I stayed in the two bedroom two bathroom apartment overlooking the park for a family weekend away and was extremely impressed with the size of the apartment especially by melbourne standards! From the moment of check in all reception staff were extremely professional, friendly and helpful beyond our expectations. The room itself was very modernly furnished with plenty of space...

Great hotel. Right on free tram stop. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Rooms are large and clean. Bed was comfortable. My only complaint was how cold the room was. I talked to housekeeping about this but it wasn't fixed. Will definitely stay again

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
