We've stayed at the Mantra quite a few times on business and this trip to participate in the Around the Bay Cycle Challenge. Staff are always very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Love the location of the Mantra, close to the city and also the restaurants on Lygon Street. We had a 2br apartment this time and was fabulous. Great views...

We really enjoyed our stay at the Mantra. The apartment had lots of space and was well appointed. The hotel is in a very convenient location, close to tram stops and in easy walking distance of a number of local attractions

Mantra on the Park is centrally located with easy access to Public Transport. Traffic noise was not a major issue. Staff were pleasant and helpful. On site parking available at an extra cost. Room service was good...quality and price. The 2BR apartment I stayed in was spacious but both bathrooms were very tired indeed.

Having three kids it was a great space plenty of room for all and comfortable . Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Kids enjoyed the buffet breakfast. Even though it was an apartment it was nice to know that room service was available if we wanted it.

It was convenient to the CBD, close to shops, cafes and restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was spacious, but I don't think we will stay there again due to our disappointment of the standard of cleaniness to the bathrooms.

Dear J3129CFlouiseg, Thank you for your recent comments following your stay with us and I apologise that the bathroom cleanliness didn't live up to your expectations. Overall a good experience. Staff were helpful and considerate. As a Swans supporter staying there for the grand final, it was nice to see the Mantra supporting both teams with decorations. Our two bedroom apartment was comfortable and the buffet breakfast was a good addition. Thank you

Dear Helen W, I appreciate the time you have taken to provide feedback following your stay and would like to apologise for the standard of the bathroom and the hot water fluctuations that you experienced. The hotel is well located, a short walk to shops, restaurants etc. a small supermarket right next door! The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and service was quick. An excellent place to stay, easy walking distance to the city and attractions. Our room on the 17th floor had views over the Carlton gardens and the Exhibition Building. Very comfortable and well presented. Happy to stay there again.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
