The place is very run down, exterior was the worse looking accommodation within the vicinity as compared to other apartments. Check in staff did not appear professional and spoke in a condescending tone. Check in and Check out procedure was the longest among the 7 places that I've stayed in the two weeks around Victoria. This place took around 15...

The apartment was modern and comfortable. It had everything we could possibly need. We were facing Elizabeth St. and I was worried about the noise but it wasn't a problem. The car park was a few doors away and convenient. Would stay there again. The only negative was the air conditioner didn't work but thankfully there was a fan.

This hotel is a rip off! It is tiny and the only thing that looks like the photos is the tiles in the bathroom. The shower is tiny, although relatively clean, it’s old and about the size of a phone booth. The walls are paper thin and you can hear every single noise outside the room, the worst part are...

I stayed here for three nights at the end of Feb (Fri, Sat and Sun) I booked this accommodation through Expedia, and needed to change my reservation, this was not possible unfortunately - so beware when booking through 3rd party. The hotel website advertises that there is parking available, I enquired about this but was told that the carpark was...

We stayed for 4 nights at City Edge. Room was good value for money. Studio room. Perfect little kitchenette. Bed was very comfortable. Not a great lot of room but certainly did the job. Washing machine with dryer was an added bonus. Great location for exploring the city.

I stayed at the apt with my friends for two dayz. The place was bigger then i thought and the bathroom was big. Everything was very clean. The location was perfect as it was very easy to access to the places around city. The train station and tram stops just right next to the apt hotel. The receptionist was very...

Nice apartment for a couple. We stayed 4 nights. The kitchen is fully equipped which was very practical to save money on restaurants. The personnel was kind. Some services could have been included (powder for laundry which was $2 at reception).

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
