Hotel staff were pleasant and helpful at all times.Room was tidy and reasonably clean. Gym was small but still good enough to do some workout. It was a decent stay for the price we paid and with consideration that it is so near Southern Cross station and free tram zone area, no complaints.

We stayed here for one night before flying home. As we like the Spencer street outlet stores it was very handy. The room was great and bed very comfortable and would not hesitate to stay here again. Don't think I would pay to have the breakfast again though..that was very disappointing.

I had a very pleasant stay at Atlantis Hotel. My room was very spacious, bed incredibly comfortable which puts my own bed to shame and great views of the city. Made great use of the indoor pool which was very appreciated. Staff were all welcoming, with a quick and easy check in and check out process which is highly important...

I stayed here for work initially the room looked reasonable and check in was easy. The prior day my coworker checked in and even though the booking was booked and to be paid by the company, they were made to pay for their stay... Atlantis apologised for this after being contacted my the company the next day. Then when I...

Attending a function at Docklands weighed up the pros & cons of catching a taxi home or staying near Docklands. Decided to stay at Atlantis Hotel. Walking distance from Southern Cross Station with easy access to Docklands and Etihad Stadium. Room was clean, relatively spacious and comfortable. Good value accommodation and cheaper than the taxi fare home.

Hotel is located 10-15mins walk from Southern Cross Station. The receptionist were welcoming; clean and spacious room & bathroom; decent & simple breakfast. I would recommend this hotel for this price.

Booked online and secured a good rate ( 3 nights) - clean rooms, basic breakfast offered in the downstairs dining room. Staff very helpful and friendly. Very close to the Southern Cross station and close to the City Circle free tram service for shopping and eating in the Melbourne CBD. Very inexpensive for a 4 star hotel

We stayed here for the 5th time while visiting Melbourne. The breakfast is good. Rooms are a decent size and the location is great, with the southern cross station across the road and close to multiple stops for the free city tram. Great place to stay for the footy.

Best choice you could make for every reason you can think of. What ever transport you use to reach the hotel, it is so easy. If travelling from western or northern suburbs, set the GPS for 300 Spencer St, travel viaTullamarine Fwy, over the Bolte Bridge, turn left onto Dynon Rd and into Spencer St. Easy parking for $20 a...

Location is good - 15 minute walk from Bourke Street mall and all the eateries. A good shopping centre across the road for browsing, shopping, chemist, food etc. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff are very friendly and helpful. On-site parking is very convenient and easy to get into it. There is a restaurant for breakfast, but not...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
