Located near parliament house and station...high end of China town. My room was quite spacious with good free wi-fi in room. Clean bathroom with bath (shower over bath) good hot water supply. Television has 4 free movie channels. Easy walk to trams, station, inner CBD and in the heart of china town. Not noisy and bed comfortable. Very good affordable...

I loved the whole experience of this CBD hotel until several week's later I received a parking fine plus late costs several weeks later. I phoned and spoke to the receptionist who did not want to know. My car was booked into valet parking at The Crossley at the time. I will never stay there again and neither will my...

We stopped in Melbourne to visit family and had a good nights sleep. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean and a nice size. Easy check in and check out. The Mexican restaurant below the hotel was swamped but we had a decent margarita there. Would stay again.

Great location in theater district with excellent helpful staff. Price was very competitive and affordable given the very good standard of the rooms. Valet vehicle parking service worked well, with surprise room upgrade at check in. Complimentary wine and chocolates to help celebrate our anniversary was a nice touch. Will definitely be back again.

OK hotel in an area close to restaurants and "Chinatown". Easy communication within city center - walking distance. Staff helpful in solving travel issues and recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing.

Good location but the hotel itself did not live up to the images on the Internet. The rooms were so small two people could not walk around the bed at the same time. The bathroom was dated and not cleaned properly. Check in and check out took 15 - 20 minutes

My husband and I went to Melbourne for a long weekend to see 'The Book of Mormon.' We chose The Crossley for how close it is to The Princess Theatre. As soon as we got to the hotel we were greeted by a lovely woman on the front desk who was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were a decent...

The Hotel is in a great location in the city centre. Price wise it is a little more competitive than others in a similar location. Unless i didn't see it, you have to carry your luggage up a set of steps. The reception staff are very very helpful. ill stay again.

The hotel is located near Chinatown which was great for us as our kids love asian food. Plenty of great restaurants to choose from. The staff were friendly and helpful. The lifts were quite quick. There were stairs at the front of the hotel though so bad for us with a pram. They also provided a portacot for us which...

One of the best hotels we have stayed in Melbourne for a long time. All the staff are extremely friendly and helpful - we will certainly come back next time we are in Melbourne. Rooms were clean, excellent breakfast which was included.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Locals know that Chinatown is the tried and true place to eat before hitting the nightclub scene. The place simply buzzes, and the well-preserved buildings exude a sense of Imperial China stemming from immigration over a century ago. In restaurant after restaurant on Little Bourke Street, you'll find delicious dishes such as sizzling honeyed prawns, and value for your money. Stately matrons oversee family kitchens serving up age-old recipes. The lighting may be unromantic, the patrons loud, and the service no-nonsense, but the food is sensational.
