We have stayed here twice now in a premier room. Each time we have asked for the 5th floor and the reservations staff have been excellent. The hotel bathrooms are a bit tired and need an upgrade but they are fine. This time the water pressure in the shower wasn't the best but last time it was ok. Great location...

Although the rooms are ok and "just a room" nothing special this place needs major maintenance works I see water running from air conditioning in the conference rooms. Bubbled paint in bathroom, tiles missing from the pool and spa area just to name a few. My most frustrating moment is having to get my cards for my room re activated...

Just spent the one night here. Was worried about some reviews on the basic room so opted to book the premier queen room. I was pleasantly surprised. By no means is it luxury, with some areas looking a little tired but it was spacious, clean, comfortable bed and our room was away from Queens Road so didn't hear any traffic....

My partner and I spent one week in sydney and a week in melbourne recently. We spent a bit more on our hotel in melbourne then in sydney thinking that we could finish the trip with a bit more luxury, however we ended up prefering the sydney hotel. The hotel looks very nice from the lobby, however when we checked...

Unfortunately our first contact with Bayview was not a pleasant one.The person on reception was not accomodating, we had booked a total of 6 roomsand were told if we not happy then we should go somewhere else. We found the hallway where two of the rooms were smelt of mould. But in fairness to the rest of the staff, they...

We stayed here twice. Once before getting on the Spirit of Tasmania and then on the night we returned to Melbourne after travelling around Tasmania. The location was very close to the Dock. Very clean and comfortable. Great bar to eat at and have some drinks. A nice place to stay.

We very much enjoyed our stay in Melbourne and admittedly didn't use the hotel to it full potential (gym/pool etc.) so we just have the room and decor to base this on. The room was nice and had daily cleaning, however we were disappointed to find that despite advertisement there was no mini bar in the room - yet evidence...

This place was chosen on price as most hotels in Melb' were ridiculous because of the Aus' Open tennis. $170 when basic rooms elsewhere were $300 seemed pretty reasonable and I wasn't expecting much. The hotel location is OK, near trams on St Kilda Rd and plenty of taxi's on Queens Rd. Car parking was a very reasonable $13 against...

Yes this is an old hotel and desperately in need of a revamp but the sTaff were courteous and helpful, and as a family of 5 we had 2 rooms for 2 nights and paid $110 per night per room so very cheap for a large family city stay- tram is around the corner and were at south bank n...

This property was once (say 40 years ago) a top Melbourne Hotel. It is now badly in need of refurbishment and I would advise anyone to give it a miss. On the lower floors the $110 rooms have the shower over the bath - with no anti-slip mat or grab rail; air conditioning that is ineffective on a warm Melbourne...
