The hotel was nice but could do with a bit of refurbishment as it looked a bit tired mainly the bedroom. The restaurant and breakfast room were great. the breakfast was great and a good selection of food. The meals we had in the restaurant were great. The staff were friendly and helpful in all aspects of their jobs. I...

I stayed here in late-October on a short business trip to Melbourne. I opted for the “entry-level” room – standard size, no view to speak of, one queen bed – and found it spacious and clean, without any odors, really excellent value at 140 dollars per night. I was already planning to partake of the fully cooked buffet breakfast the...

Booked in to the hotel from booking.com, when we got there they didn't have us on their system that we were staying (not their fault) although we had all the conformation with us. We were also informed that breakfast finished at 11am got there at 10:38am and one of the staff told us they finished at 10:30am. We got our...

For a so called "Premier King Room" it was the smallest and most expensive room we have experienced in Melbourne over the past 45 years, this includes hotels such as The Hilton, Quay West Suits, RACV Club to name but a few. One light switch for all lights in room, not even double switching. The only good thing about our...

We had a wonderful stay at the property. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. The hotel is located centrally for theatre visits and fabulous restaurants. For the shoppers it's only a short walk away from the popular arcades and Fed Square. Popular landmarks are equally close for those that wish to take in the sights. We had a pleasant...

Suited my purposes, Staff are friendly and helpful. Room decor was tired, reminded me of an average motel. Stayed to attend a 6 day course held in the conference rooms. Convenient for that. Room service food was better than average. Internet painfully slow.

No issues at all and a pleasent place to stay. The check in and check out staff were very helpful and no request was too great a burden. The staff service was first rate in my opionion. The room was very tidy and the room service was great.

Well located close to office and restaurants. Staff very helpful and good facilities, will stay next visit to Melbourne. Breakfast was great and next time will bring my gear so can have a swim in a pool that looks like it is well maintained.

Service was really good, especially when we checked in so late. Room was clean and tidy. Not really happy with the bed (two singles pushed together). Although room was clean and tidy, there was a limited view and balcony. I think it's overpriced. Bathroom is spacious, buy hardly any space to put your toiletries etc. Overall, it's a nice place,...

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Locals know that Chinatown is the tried and true place to eat before hitting the nightclub scene. The place simply buzzes, and the well-preserved buildings exude a sense of Imperial China stemming from immigration over a century ago. In restaurant after restaurant on Little Bourke Street, you'll find delicious dishes such as sizzling honeyed prawns, and value for your money. Stately matrons oversee family kitchens serving up age-old recipes. The lighting may be unromantic, the patrons loud, and the service no-nonsense, but the food is sensational.
