Our daughter surprised us with a gift voucher for two nights last December 12th and 13th. We had never stepped inside before and were very impressed from the moment we presented at reception. The young lady who greeted us was a credit to the hotel. Because it was our anniversary it had been possible for them to arrange an upgrade...

We chose to stay at the Grand Hyatt for our Wedding Anniversary. At check in we had the friendly staff ask us our reason for staying, we stated it was for our Anniversary. We checked in and were happy to find a complimentary bottle of Champagne for us. Our room was on the 32nd Floor and we had access to...

I had booked Th Grand Hyatt for our Wedding Anniversary, I am glad I did. We were treated like Royalty. We were asked the reason for our stay out of general conversation with the Valet Attendant and he told us to enjoy or stay. When we arrived in our room we had a bottle of Champagne waiting for us. We...

My wife and I stayed here for three nights and were very pleased with the standard of accommodation and the professional nature of all the staff we met. We had a lovely room on the 32nd floor and while we overlooked a number of other buildings, we did have some nice scenic vistas. Comfortable bed, nice lounge for relaxing and...

Our room was fantastic. Had wonderful views and felt spacious. The only let down of the experience was the constant up turned noses at my partner and I. We weren't there on business. We were on a vacation to the city. We wanted to stay somewhere nice. It was cold and rainy at the time. We had constant looks from...

We enjoyed a relaxing stay in a club lounge room thanks to luxury escapes. The room was comfortable, clean and had a fantastic view. Staff were friendly and we appreciated the small touches such as champagne for our anniversary. Rococo bar has amazing cocktails. We mostly ate out however the club lounge was excellent we enjoyed the canapés and refreshments.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
