Will be great when the renovation is done. Tired at the moment and needs attention to cleanliness. Cigarette butts on the balcony for example. Otherwise staff were friendly, but for the money if prefer to stay elsewhere.

Dear Tina H, I completely and utterly agree with you!!! Thank goodness we are RENOVATING...It's a very exciting time for us as it has been a long time coming with a lot of planning and negotiating to get the ball renovating. We already have one level ready and I must say the bathrooms are magnificent. Naturally, there will be teething...

The hotel was in a very central location of the CBD, although not very close to tram lines. Room was all right but lift to the top floor was old & sounded like it would break all the time. Beds were comfortable & room was large & spacious. Reception staff were not very good in directions of the CBD, as...

Dear Trish S, Thank you for taking the time to provide your honest yet constructive feedback regarding your stay with us. I understand there was a little confusion regarding the tour booking, I was under the impression the tour operator charged you directly, however, I will definitely follow this up with the reception team members and also the tour operator....

This was a great quick stay, service was efficient, no fussing required. There was a small hiccup upon check-in but it was quickly resolved with no dramas. Breakfast was delicious, just a bit slow due to limited staff.

I will pass on your comments to the QSR restaurant regarding the delicious yet slightly slow "breakfast". I look forward to welcoming you...

In a deluxe refurbished room however the room needed maintenance ie mold in shower grout, some light switches in the room were also a bit dodgy. Made us think how long ago the refurb was actually done!. Found bed to be very hard. Had to keep asking for room amenities to be replenished when consumed as cleaning staff did not...

The location of this apartment was great, but when we found our travel agent had booked us a standard room, on checking in we asked if we could pay for an upgrade. We were told they were all the same. We looked out on a blank wall which made it very dark. Although reasonably comfortable it was shabby and certainly...

When we arrived oli greeted us with a big smile she was awesome and went out of her way to help us. Thankyou oli. Our room was clean and tidy and we loved our room upstairs. The room needed some attention (bathrooms and balcony need a scrub) but overall a good stay. Reception was very helpful and courteous. Location was an easy stroll down hill to town and walking distance (10 to 15 mins) from most attractions. Convenience store and bottle shop just a cross the road, quite handy to all our needs.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
