I usually stay here when in Melbourne. Great location in the CBD. Lovely breakfasts. I usually book a Premier King room which is very nice. Complimentary Nespresso machine is nice touch. Only negative is that Premier room wing is a really long way from lift lobby. Helps walk off the breakfasts I suppose :-)

Spacious room, quiet and lovely view, natural light and new block out blinds made relaxing easy. Great location for business trip or holiday. Food great at restaurant and service very good. New renovations give feeling of freshness and space. Recommend highly

I stayed at the Novotel on a Friday evening in March. It is a well appointed modern hotel with all the perks of a 4 star property. As you exit the lift you are gretted by a modern dinning and bar area with the reception off to your left. Check in staff were polite and made check in a good...

Great location. I had a 'panoramic' internal view into Australia on Collins... not cool if you're a shopper. Very cool if you are in Melbourne for business. The location of this hotel is superb in the heart of the city and close to everything.

Second time around just as good. The location is central Melbourne, which makes it easy to explore Melbourne City. Even though it's on a busy street, there is little street noise. The staff are friendly, even to a solo traveller. Will stay again soon.

One of those special moments where you want to stay and know that everything is handy & close by. Staff looked after us in such a special way even ensuring our Daughter was looked after with toys. All shopping in the City very accessible. Rooms were excellent & we had two fabulous nights sleep. Highly recommended

Nice hotel, lovely staff and good location if staying in the city, only thing a bit concerned about was the fact that they charged my credit card with the cost of the room + even though we paid with cash and eftpos on check out. On querying the charge I was advised that it would be refunded and is just...

Stayed there for one night and everything was within grasp. This is a highly recommended hotel for anyone who is on business. You will be surrounded by all the offices and things that you need for business. Even if you are not on business but out on leisure, that's a good hotel with most of the things you need around...

located in the heart of CBD..close to the little lanes and the best vibes of Melbourne CBD. You wouldnt notice the hotel until you get to the address. Breakfast was included in the deal and the overall stay was pleasant and very comfortable.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
