Really helpful and friendly staff -is the only reason I have given a 2! The appartments were very worn out really needs a refurb. Bathrooms weren't as clean as I would expect still hair and rubbish from previous guests. Bed linen was clean thankfully.

Make it clear when accepting bookings that there are no disabled facilities. Sort out the drains and find out what is causing the sewer smells in the room. We were trapped in the room on the 6th floor as the lift wasn't working. Eventually someone came and poured very strong drain cleaner in the toilets, shower &sinks. But we were...

The staff are friendly but the amenities and cleaning is pretty poor. Broken shower handles, dishwashers, lift etc were some of the issues my family experienced. Pretty disappointed. If you are saying for a short term you may get through ok - but don't stay here longer than a few days.

When I stayed the lift was not working for some time and my room key opened more than one room. I got the wrong room number on check-in. Decoration poor and not maintained. I felt like I was back in my cheap student accommodation 20 years ago.

Great location, friendly staff and good 2 bedroom apartment size. A little noisy from traffic however expect that when staying so central. Could use a refurb as the property and rooms are looking a bit tired.

The location is the best bit about this place. It is right there and easy to get to places in the cbd. My only issue was the king bed with 2 x singles so there was a big gap in the bed. Otherwise the apartment was great and had everything we needed

great location and price, so much to do in the area after work, pubs, bars and plenty of good restaurants. Chinatown 3mins away if you like Asian food. Easy to get around on trams just outside front door.

Nothing special about this hotel. Excellent position though - close to tram, restaurants & shops. Could improve on cleanliness - be aware no domestic service on Sundays. AC only in living area - not bedroom.

Stayed here for business one night. I needed to work from the hotel, and would not have been able to if I didn't have a dongle with me. These days internet shouldn't be that hard to provide. The staff were lovely. Breakfast offering extremely limited (package of cereal and fruit or something along those lines - specifically not recommended by...

I am enjoying my stay because of the location and the reception staff. All the options are walking distance away from you; from Super market to food joints. But I will penalize the review because of the internet.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
