Tucked away accommodation in the middle of Lygon st Carlton. No parking out front for check in so ring & describe ur vehicle then follow their back laneway directions for secure on site parking. Friendly helpful staff , clean room, bit cosy but ok !...More
The main reason I booked this hotel was the location and free parking. However when I checked in, the staff told me that it's not much chance to park in the hotel parking space, and suggested me the meter parking on the street. Their parking...More
Great location!! Friendly efficient check in check out staff at all times.Badic but clean , quiet comfy accommodation. Situated next to Mondi restaurant which is a great place to eat or chill out on the footpath tables with a drink.
It's the first time we stayed in this place .
It's not far from the city. It took us 15 minutes to walk going to Chinatown.
Lots of restaurants in the area.
The hotel itself is tidy, nice bathroom. There's a little kitchen if you...More

If you want real parmesan, cut from the block, grated over your pasta with a twist of style, this is the place. Until recently, this neighbourhood was home to the notorious ‘Carlton Crew,’ a pseudo mafia who started their day with a local espresso. They are gone, but the espresso still runs strong in this Little Italy which has something for everyone. Starched white tablecloths, candles, pizza the way
they do it "back home" and maybe even a bit of amore. The number of gelato choices will leave you in a state of indecision and wide footpaths, big awnings and a sea of packed tables makes this al fresco dining experience a continental buzz. Even if you’re not eating, it’s worth the stroll just for the people-watching, which, of course, is an Italian tradition.

Hi Gilbert I believe the car parking was free but it was a fairly small car park....careful on the way in through the back lane and out again as it is a thoroughfare for other businesses. There is car parking elsewhere around the area. I was more nervous about getting a car park at the front reception for check in as it is a busy street and has trams etc but it all seemed to flow ok.
There is some parking and it is very handy in that area of the city. The parking is limited and a little crammed So small car ideal Give them a ring or email them letting them know that you would like a park.
