This hostel is starting to get a less relaxed air than it once enjoyed and is very busy with many groups of millennial tourists, and others. It always had excellent housekeeping under the supervision of very experienced senior staff and a longstanding team. Now it seems to be cutting corners, and no one can expect the top staff to work... We stayed here for a week in a mixed 4 bed dorm, the boys in the room absolutely stunk he did not leave the room or shower the whole week we were there! The hostel was really clean, had a nice big kitchen which was cleaned regularly, a TV room which was nice to sit and chill in. Only had... More

If your thinking about staying in Melbourne this is a must if your on a budget. If your stupid enough not to read where the location is on the website like most negative reviews on here, it isn't that close. Well I believe a 20 minute walk into a major city isn't bad but for some people it is. There... More

The hostel is one of the better ones in melbourne. It is clean and safe. However there was only one charger in my dorm room which is sad. There eas a very weird guy at the reception who wouldnt believe me when i told him my card wouldnt work for my door. He talked to me like i was stupid.

Good location and value for money. We stayed for 3 nights and extended another one. The family room on the 3F is more spacious and comfy than the 1F one. Soundproofing not too good and we could hear the noise next door, from the corridor and the road. The hostel is just under 10 minutes' walk from the last free... More

Room was comfortable enough, if a bit small. Great shower though! Common area was large and cosy. Lots of interesting books in the book corner. Although we didn't participate, the weekly activities looked really fun. The coffee is awesome. Kitchen was really well equipped and large, plenty of fridge space. Staff were really friendly and helpful.

Modern, clean, relaxing and very efficiently run. Great facilities and an interesting activities board. Safe and secure. 24 hour reception and a daytime travel desk. A supermarket and the trams are not far, including the tourist trams called City Circle. Lots of restaurants and the Queen Victoria Market to browse around in. Well located in North Melbourne.

Location is not at the CBD but still ok. The room that I got is clean, the heater is strong enough, The hot shower is good as well. You got wifi as well in the lobby which is quite nice. I would consider to stay there again because this place is quite nice for a hostel level.
