We stayed here for several nights and found it a great place to stay. It was out of the hustle and bustle of the busy city central area, but close enough to catch transport to the central shopping areas. Tram stops were just outside and it is also on the free City Circle tram route, which stopped on this corner....

We stayed here for 9 nights over the festive period and enjoyed it very much. Tram 35 outside the hotel gives you a free loop of the city which is very useful. The staff are polite and helpful. Internet you have to pay for but is good. You do get a free hour. 7 days is $50 i think. Coles...

The location of this hotel is just PERFECT!! There are various convenient stores surrounding the hotel where you can buy food or drinks!! Plus, the FREE TRAM is just outside of the hotel!! So, it is very easy to go around the city with the Tram. Well, there was a small problem with the toilet but they gave us another...

We had a 2 bed apartment. The room was a bit dated but the bedding etc was lovely and clean. We found everything we needed in the kitchen, although there were no wine glasses - a small price to pay for staying in a great location. The free tram stops right outside although we chose to walk to town which...

Well I cant really rate this joint as they Reneged on a booking I booked through "Not1Night" for 4 nights before we to go on a cruise. If this place cant get their prices right and allow the booking they should honour it and not go back on the deal. At the end of the day they set the prices...

The staff are friendly and understanding. We got an early flight and arrived well before checkin time, they stored our bags in the lock up while we wandered around the city. The rooms are a bit strangely set out but they were clean and tidy which is all that matters at the end of the day. This hotel was only...

On the plus side the room was clean. Other than that not sure who's getting the 'harbour views! (mine was of a wall), sound insulation is minimal, only 1x hour free WiFi and the whole floor (4th) smelt of stale curry! Only saving grace, I wasn't paying!

Stayed here during the week. Absolutely disgraceful. Rated as a 4 star. Not worth 1 star. Room was dirty and smelt, The floor would have been more comfortable to sleep on. Very Noisy. Cutlery and microwave was like they have never been cleaned. No assistance from the Staff or Management. The car park was like a rubbish tip with bins...

We stayed at Harbourview for one night in a one-bedroom apartment; the setting of the room was small but comfortable enough. There was a kitchen area, which had all what was required if one wanted to prepare some basic meal. The queen size bed had an older style mattress and was not the peak of comfort. The apartment was very...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
