Great location. Free breakfast. Has an ironing board and iron. I got a room with my own shower. Great for the budget. I don't really need any other amenities. Especially since all I needed my room for was sleeping.

I only stayed one night and I couldn't really complain much, was glad to have air-conditioning in my room along with a hassle-free upgrade to a standard room. However the cracks didn't take long to show as the following morning as I went to have a shower, the showerhead literally rusted off into my hand as soon as I touched...

they advertise that they can assist with parking, but just say its up the road..... the room smelt the worse than I was prepared to stay in for more than a few moments. reception was unattended and took a phone call to gain attention......I guessing not the fault of the nice lady working there at the time. It was a...

Arrived early,[1.30 pm ] no problems, only staying one night. Upgraded to best available vacant room with a smile. Breakfast next morning $6.00 Continental or $9.00 cooked. Paid under Aud.$100.00 for room and 2 breakfasts. Makes a lot of other Melbourne hotel prices look SILLY!

Nice room and bathroom. Clean and tidy. I liked it. Good location as well. I had noisy neighbours in room next door. But not really the Hotel's fault. They were clearly low class from their conversation. Receptionist was 'robotic' in her check in routine. Felt more like I was at a railway station window buying a ticket. I actually booked...

This isn't a luxury stay by any means but it was affordable and close to the market and stations. The room is very small- but all we really needed for 2 nights. They only clean your room once every 3 days which was fine with us. One thing is during the day there was cleaning supplies , dirty sheets, tools,...

This little hotel is a gem. I stayed in a Standard double here for 2 nights and would happily stay again. Clean new bathroom. Close to Spencer Street Station and only a free tram away from the Bourke Street Mall. Rate includes breakfast eggs, fried and scrambled, bacon, pancakes, toast, cereal, juice and coffee. Meals are available in the bar....

Hotel is well placed to get to and from as long as you do it via public transport as parking anywhere near this hotel is a premium. Rooms small but clean with tea and coffee facilities. not much room for suitcases. Breakfast was a very pleasant surprise and a must if you stay here.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
