I stayed at Wickham Retreat for five days while visiting Perth. I found it through my Lonely Planet book. Chris, the manager was very helpful and polite and showed me around the hostel. This is one of the only hostels where I really felt at home. Everyone that was staying here was so friendly; we asked each other about our...

Was there for 7 days. Free milk, bread and cereal was a great service. Staff were very helpful. Great public transport links into the city. A more relaxed environment and I would like to see more hostels like this.

Perth was my first stop in Australia and I'm glad I stayed at this hostel for those 2 or 3 weeks. Hostels are the best place to meet/make friends, and this was a good hostel. Every week there was a free BBQ and sandwich night which helps those who are traveling on a budget! The rooms are a little small...

One of the best hostel experiences I have ever had. You pay a little bit more than the average hostel, but the quality of this stay makes it worth it. Lots of free food, great advice from staff, and friendly people on staff. Felt like home!

I stayed at this hostel for a month in December and it was so good that I had to come back. There is no other hostel in Perth like it! You can save so much money on food, they do free sandwich days twice a week and BBQs in the summer. The rooms are very homely and the general atmosphere...

I've just travelled the East Coast and Perth was just a stop off on my home for a few days...definitely wish I was staying here longer at this hostel. It's such a great place to be, everyone is friendly and respectful of each other. It's the first real trustworthy sort of place I've stayed and felt so comfortable in. And...

I spent a month in this hostel no long time ago and I came back once in a while and every time I left I felt sad like I was leaving home. Charlie (owner) is a lovely guy always smiling, he cares about guests and he wants to be sure everybody is happy there. Price can discourage some people to...

It's the best hostel I've stayed in! It's a small place so you get to know everyone really soon. The owner, manager and staff look after everyone and helped me a lot with every question I had. They did a great BBQ during my stay and the greatest thing was, it was all for free. It's the best way to...

Every day free breakfast and tuesday free sandwich night and on wednesday they organize a free bbq. The people who live and work in the hostel make you feel at home. I...
