Considering YHA's charge more than other hostels, this is far from the best I have been in. There were cockroaches in the kitchen for a start. The rooms are small but comfortable, however, the hostel is next to a railway line so very noisy throughout the night.

The hostel is perfectly located as it's only a 2 min walk to the central train station, and it's directly opposite where the airport transfer bus drops off / picks up (which operates 24 hours and is $15 one-way). The hostel itself has everything you need, including a small gym and a swimming pool, which is always an added bonus....

We stayed in a twin room on the ground floor and back of the hostel. It was very very noisy not only because we could hear every conversation that was held in the BBQ area but also because there were trains passing all night long... To have an idea how loud it was - the other person had to repeat...

Nice and clean hostel. Very friendly staff at reception, friendly cleaning lady. Good place to stay with a baby (our son was then 10 month old and loved the double room). Centrally located and close to all sights.

The hostel was neither raveable or bad . It wasn't exactly happening however . Situated right in the city however it was very hard finding . The city isn't to exciting so if your looking to go out or explore I'd advise seeing the other YHA it is close enough to northbridge which has clubs n strippers but for bars...

I stayed in Room 217 from Nov 1 to Nov 6 2013. All in all my stay is good plus the TV room was great. The only thing that ruined my stay is my room mate who I think is staying there in a long term basis. He wakes up in the wee hours and like scream and curse...crazy and...

The older male in the bed below is determined to keep me awake all night. He works here sometimes, probably for accomodation. A quiet word about the title of this review has earned some consideration. I'm just spending the night, thank god. Room 310

Noise! Noise! Noise! This places is noisy all the time and it seems to be coming from all directions. First, the hostel backs directly to the railroad tracks. Then, there is a pub on the first floor. Finally, from the building itself there are sounds of running water nearly constantly, mechanical noises (like humming motors), doors slamming and people coming/going...

This YHA has a great location, it's very close to the city centre and the railway station (excellent for days trips)... It is very busy, so if you want to ask a staff member smth you likely have to wait a couple minutes till they are ready to help you. Same with the washing, the machines were always occupied. You...

This hostel offers a very decent range of facilities. It is very clean. Great location near center. On the more expensive side. Downsides are the trains tracks next to hostel with trains driving through your dorm, however free earplugs provided at reception. No byo cause fully licensed. Pints at 7.5 dollar in cafe downstairs. Internet pretty expensive for these days...
