I stayed here a couple of times during my 6 months in NZ (due to it being available during busy events in Auckland) and It was one of the worst hostels I stayed in during my trip...I stayed for a week on my first stay and I didn't see our room get cleaned once, you collect sheets and a pillow...

Princes go from 24$ to 40$ on week-ends, for a 12 beds dorm. The guy at the reception wasn't welcoming at all. The pillow was as thin as the bed sheets, same for the matress. And i woke up with insects bites all over me. We still have to pay for wifi, even if it was written free wifi when...

I stayed here one night and believe me that was more than enough. The hostel felt like a prison. There were bars at reception just like a prison. The decoration was grey and depressing. You have to pay fifty dollars for a key deposit and if you have to check out early in the morning you have to trust them...

Booked a 8 bed mix dorm, it had no a/c just a fan that didn't blow any air. The room had no space to put anything, no dressers, no lockers and what space there was was taken over by the other people in the room who have lived there for 7 months (who knows why...) the room smelled like old...

This hostel seems to thrive on attracting non-New Zealanders who don't necessarily know local consumer protections. As an example, there is a large sign declaring "No refunds" without any qualifications behind the (prison-barred) reception counter. Signs like this are illegal in New Zealand as there are specific circumstances in which a business is legally obligated to refund its customers (eg,...

After we felt likenwe had seen everything, this hostel was a new low. Filthy, smelling rooms and amenities. Incredibly rude staff who doesn't care an treats you like s... Also the place is covered with papers explaining all the rules and punishments if not followed. Feels like a prison.

I stayed there one week as everything was booked in Auckland, everything cheap at least... The worst thing for an accomodation in my eyes would be for a place to be a dirty. And it was. Even if facilities and shared spaces were cleaned on regular basis, there were too few facilities or too many people. It means a big...

After having stayed in a few great hostels in Auckland, this was an extremely rude awakening. Booked a night's stay for convenience since the hostel's location is good and near the Intercity bus stop - but it was the worst decision ever. $50 key deposit (ridiculous), have to make your own bed (pillow, bed sheet and duvet looked and felt...

If you want to ruin your holiday then stay here. Staff rude and condescending. Rules all over the walls on tacky laminated posters. EVERYTHING is so filthy that you would question how the health department hasn't shut the whole place down. Did not sleep a single minute as the noise of the partying guests went all the way to 7am...

It started with the 50$ deposit for the key, then a smelly room, a very bad pillow which you cannot even call a pillow and the kitchen is dirty warm and too full. You have to pay for everything extra. So bad experience for me..
