Stayed here for 2 nights. Nothing special but the rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and the staff were all friendly. Basic cooking facilities in the room were good, but we also ate at the restaurant 1 night and that was fine. If you're looking for a cheap and functional base to explore Auckland, would recommend, but if you're after...

Even though the outside of this place is under repair and the reception area small, don't be put off. Situated at the top of Queen and convenient for shopping, dining and entertainment, this is a nice hotel. It's not 5* luxury, but the rooms are clean and comfortable. The bathrooms are spacious and well-equipped and ours had a separate bedroom...

The Skybus service is the best way transfer to or from our hotel, it’s right outside and very frequent 24/7 There is also a really frequent inner city bus service that stops directly outside for just a $1. It does a loop of the city, K’rd and waterfront, a great option for budget sightseeing and you will get a feel...

We was really surprised by our room here! We had a living room / kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. All a good size. Bed was comfy but could be bigger. Room has a safe, fridge, sink, all kitchen utensils and sofas. Also mini bar! Hotel is in good location on the main shopping street - Queen St. We even got an...

Scenic hotel has a very good rating and so is among the first choice for business travel but on this occasion they went above and beyond. A normal business traveller arrives with a computer and bag. If well planned they may have a compact umbrella - as did I. But this is not much protection when Cyclone Debbie hits. What...

The Scenic Hotel is very well located on Queen Street central Auckland shopping area.A short walk to the Sky Tower and Port area. We found our room to be comfortable ( great shower )if not luxurious! We were disappointed that the hotel bar & restaurant closed very early however there were plenty of other options available within walking distance. The front...

I stayed for two nights while in the city for business. What a great little place this is. Beds were SUPER comfortable too. Right on Queen St, but didn't notice any traffic noise at night time once the thick curtains were closed. There is a little cafe/restaurant attached that offers charge back to your room also - very handy. Would...

We found that the onsite manager was not friendly and there was no hot water in my hotel room - not a great experience. This was the first time we had stayed here and was disappointed in the experience.

Hi I am so sorry and will investigate at the front desk. Sorry about the water problem, the tempering valve for the particular room somehow got stuck, an unusual issue and sorry it happened to you. Kind regards, Ken

This is an older , mostly well maintained clean , quiet hotel on Queen st in Auckland's central business district. The kitchenette room was well equipped, had good reliable internet but limited Tv channels. The staff was professional and helpful. The air conditioning and heat were fully adjustable and functioned well . The hallways were a bit grim, a few...

I have arrived at 1 am. The accommodation was pre-booked in advance. Person at reception was very friendly and allocated a room promptly. Room furnishings were looking tired, but in good condition. Room was big enough. Cozy kitchenette with cutlery, glasses, plates cups etc. Iron and iron board (had to use those to press shirt for meeting). Mini bar with...

We were here as part of a group tour and stayed two nights at the beginning of our trip....it was convenient to the ferry as well as several local sights, and the bus stops were closeby and easy to use. Our room was not large but nicely appointed, and contrary to some other reviews, it was very quiet. If interested,...
