It is a very good hotel to stay.the room was spacious and very clean.the staff at the front desk was helpful and polite.we were so happy to check early in after a real long travel from Amsterdam. Great swimming pool and spa. The girls taking care of this area are amazing,very friendly and in for a chat. We had a great stay in this hotel.

I am greatly thankful for the amazing experience we had during our stay and very satisfied with every aspect of the hotel from the staff, to our room, the facilities to the process of checking in and checking-out.
This was our first time staying at the Pullman Auckland as a friend of ours highly recommended it so we decided to spend our anniversary here. I was absolutely blown away by the quality of the hotel and friendliness of the staff. In particular I would very much like to thank Justine, Sarah, Paris, Sharon , Alexander and Caleb for enhancing our stay (above and beyond my expectations) and to Alexandra for assisting me personally upon check out. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel and it’s team to anyone considering a 5 star stay in Auckland.
My partner and I (including our infant and toddler) checked in on Thursday as we were celebrating our anniversary. We were greeted by the lovely staff Sarah and Paris they were very friendly, professional, helpful and very welcoming. Our daughters Sophia and Sarah were given these amazing kids back pack that were filled with goodies including a colouring book , colouring pencils and a souvenir kiwi soft toy, they loved it so much.
We were upgraded to a deluxe one bedroom apartment and it was amazing we loved everything about it, the view from the balcony, the comfortable bed, it was very clean throughout, very spacious with everything that we needed and it had the most amazing kitchen which we used to cook our dinner. 10 minutes into settling into our room a knock at the door surprised us with a personal welcome card wishing us happy anniversary and a delicious cake which made our anniversary extra special for that I want to say thank you!
My partner and I were only planning to stay one night but with the amazing service that was provided we decided to stay one more night. We ordered room service and the food was substantial it was well presented and very tasty. We ordered pizza, fries and chicken bites and they were delicious. The room service staff were very polite, helpful and the service was always amazingly quick. We loved everything about the hotel facilities which included a spa pool, sauna room and a massive swimming pool where we spent most of our time during our stay. The location of the hotel was very convenient for getting around close to supermarkets, resturants and parks. The young men that assisted us with vallet parking are awesome and they do an amazing job.
We were sad to leave but I know we will definitely be back as regulars, without a doubt this is now by far my favourite hotel.
A big thank you to all the wonderful staff who does a great job at the Auckland Pullman Hotel a true sample of excellent hospitality!

Firstly the staff here are very good. One remembered us from a stay 2 years ago. On that occasion we had a junior suite that was superb. Booked the same again for this trip and ended up with a room that was totally different. Asked at reception what was going on and was informed that on our prior stay we had been given a VIP suite, unbeknown to us. Naturally after that anything would be a disappointment. The suite is roomy and comfortable but the bathroom is just atrocious. There is a reason you don’t see photos of the bathroom on the website - you can’t fit a person and a camera into the bathroom at the same time, and I hate a shower over the bathtub, Never have we seen such an old, tiny bathroom in a suite. Breakfast was awful, disorganised, poor choice, poor quality and hot dishes that were cold - skipped it on the second day. Even though the staff here are excellent I doubt we will go back, mainly because of the truly woeful bathroom. There are better hotels in Auckland, although this one is very good value, particularly at holiday times when locals desert the city. Not 5 star though.

It had been some years since staying here, the previous visit being in one of the apartments in the newer building. Professional yet friendly service from Raphael at check-in and received a welcome upgrade from a Superior room to a Junior Suite facing the university and Albert Park, due to my Accor status. An upgrade is always a pleasant surprise, as it's not guaranteed. The suite, with a separate living area, was spacious. This part of the hotel could do with a refresh, but it was clean and comfortable. The second surprise was when I discovered that the windows in both the lounge and bedroom could be opened for fresh air. I was very pleased to see that. The hotel should really make a point of mentioning this on its website in the "For your comfort" section of its website for those rooms/apartments that don't have a balcony. The service from the bar staff was also excellent.
The only suggestion for improvement that I have would be for a small, clear self-adhesive rubber/plastic bumper pad/stop to be fixed to the toilet lid; this would prevent it from banging loudly against the counter when opening. Having stayed at the Novotel Auckland airport several times, I noticed each room that I have stayed in has this and works effectively.
To save the trek up Shortland Street, use the lift in the "Lumley Centre" diagonally across from the Pullman. This can be accessed in Fort Street.

I don’t usually write reviews but.... WOW! What the most amazing experience, the property is beautiful, but the team here are even more special and absolutely know how to make you feel super taken care of on your birthday.
There were a few moments when I though the trip was not going to happen due to COVID 19 but I managed to sneak into Auckland in level 2.5.
Sarah Waapu-Kumar and the reservations team were so helpful, understand and nothing was a problem. I arranged for food and beverage to be delivered for my birthday lunch as well platters and glassware which the team easily organised.
We arrived at the hotel and were met by Sarah, briefed on the extra precautions due to COVID and show to our room. When we arrived everything I’d asked for was in the room and the food and beverage delivery was even put away including the Moët in the fridge! It was so easy to settle in and enjoy the room and evening drinks and canapés were even delivered.
The following day was birthday day so after a morning swim and sauna we were off for breakfast. Well when I arrived back at the hotel the staff had decorated the room with balloons which had personalised messages hanging from them wishing me “hari huri tau” and “happy birthday” and there was even a birthday cake sitting on the table - it was carrot (my favourite).
Everything was so easy and the staff were so accommodating of any request I had including a late checkout and to walk back into the room decorated for my birthday had me feeling so special and looked after. I can’t thank the team enough for going the extra mile and ensuring it was the best birthday yet!
If I could give more than 5 starts I really would!

I was put in the Pullman by the NZ government for my 14 days isolation.
From the moment I arrived at the hotel, the team were amazing. Even though we were placed in the hotel and the stay was covered by the government, they always treated me as they would a guest visiting. Whenever we asked for something like removing rubbish or arranging to have some laundry done, it all was arranged immediately.
The meals provided by the restaurant were delicious and to my surprise included 3 options for each meal each day (I am sure that is not required by the government, but instead something they decided to do to make our stay better). I have seen some of the other hotel isolation options were not as nice and I really appreciated the options for those staying at the Pullman.
For a time that many would consider to be difficult, the team made it incredibly easy to enjoy 14 days relaxing indoors at the hotel. I really appreciate the effort they went to to make it as enjoyable as possible and will stay at the Pullman again in the future because of it.
As far as a normal stay would go: the wifi is great, the bed is incredibly comfortable and the rooms are spacious with plenty of room for bags and moving around. Great place to stay at in Auckland.

Apartment was first class, cleanliness was perfect in line with Covid-19 conditions. Even cutlery and crockery was shrink wrapped for extra protection. Service was excellent as usual under less than ideal conditions for staff - all food and drink was brought to our room - there is no restaurant of lounge operating at the moment but nothing was too much trouble for very attentive staff.. Communication at all times from booking to checkout was great too, There was even a notice under our door in the morning regarding the change in alert levels as we were there on the night of the PM's announcement. Everything was as you would expect from Accor and the Pullman. Many thanks.

I stayed at this hotel the first time 20 years ago when it was Hytatt Regency. Then again as a solo traveller in 2017, and then once more with my husband in 2019. In 2017 I paid for a Executive Suite, and in 2019 Deluxe Suite. They were exactely the same.
I would say that as far as 5 star hotels go, it feels a bit dated but it is charming. Its great value for the money but beware of the location which means a bit of an uphill hike from the harbour area or main street.
Stayed for 4 nights with my husband in november 2019. The suites are roomy. Like a small apartment with an entrance hall, a large sitting area with sofa and desk. A separate bedroom and good space between.
Upon check in the room smelled really musky and weird, and the front desk sent someone there to have it sprayed. It took care of most of the smell but would have preferred a room change. No big deal really .
Breakfast is good and especially appreciate the very large selection of healthy options.
Overall, I'd love to come back but mostly for nostalgic reasons. Looking for a luxury experience I would go elsewhere.

We recently stayed at the Pullman and were very impressed with the friendly service we received. The staff at the counter were incredibly helpful and went out of their ay to greet us every time we entered the hotel. Emil was very courteous and helpful and took the time to have a chat with us. Karisma in the bar was also very helpful. The facilities were fabulous and because we had late flights on the Sunday we were able to use the facilities and relax even after we had checked out. Everything from the front of house to the pool/sauna etc were immaculately clean, the breakfast was yummy.
