Stayed 4 days beginning of holiday and 2 days at the end. First stay was on the 6th floor near lifts, very noisy, room small but clean.last 2 days upgraded to a bigger room on the 8th floor , much bigger room and great views. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

Thank you for your feedback, Lift noise is something we are certainly looking into as a part of our refurbishment. However, due to the scale of the project, this will be carried out during lowest season of the year. Our deluxe room category is often located at the end of the corridors. If the requests are made especially for light...

We stayed here for a couple of nights while visiting family. The location is great, right next to Britomart on lower Queen Street and with plenty of restaurant options nearby. Our room was a bit small and tired, but clean and the bed was comfortable. Despite being on a lower floor we didn't have much road noise disturbing us, but...

Dear Suzanne, Thank you for leaving us a comment on your stay back in August. In regards to the card de-activation, it can happen when it is near a mobile phone due to magnetic strip on the cards. I do apologise for the inconvenience this has caused you going up and down the lifts. As you have mentioned, lift noise...

The service from the Mercure was very good. The previous day I had inquired about an early check in, which proved to be no problem, and was very helpful as we were transferring from another hotel. The reception staff were very friendly and professional. The room we had was quite dated in its decor, as was the corridor area on...

Also the internet access was not included and the amount allowed in the...

We last visited this hotel many years ago, shortly after the old Pacific Hotel was demolished and the renamed Mercure was built in its place. Nothing very much has changed, although the small lobby has been smartened up. It was manned by a young lady, who seemed a little disconcerted by check-ins at seven in the evening, but shortly we...

Stayed here last week for 1 night...that was enough! Although the one positive was the Concierge (Mr Sumich) who couldn't have been more helpful. On arrival we checked in and the room was hideous and directly opposite the elevator. I rang down and requested a change of room and was fortunate enough to strike My Sumich who immediately granted my...

Mercure Hotel Review The location is great. Take the airport shuttle which will cost you $16NZD one way ($26NZD R/T). The bus travels on the main road called Queens and will take about 45mins. (A cab will take the same amount of time and cost $60NZD) Get off at stop #5 and the hotel is one block away. The location...

I've always gone past this hotel and wondered how great it must be based on how modern and great the lobby looks. Well, on my latest trip to Auckland, I decided to try it out and experience it for myself. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. The 2 main things for me in hotels are room comfort (noise,...
