I can’t recommend this place strongly enough… I was due to arrive from Australia in March 2020 and with ever changing COVID restrictions, I managed to secure a studio 2days before arriving to self-isolate in for 14days. Casey and Juan were sooo helpful organising my stay and the staff were fantastic!! Even ringing my room to check up on me every second day. I had an amazing view, exceptionally clean room, fantastic delivery and room service. Everything I needed was supplied including washing machine and dryer!! The 14 days flew by and I thoroughly enjoyed my isolation period. Thankyou to you all for an amazing time 😊👍🏼

Went here since it was a walk-away from spark arena, the room they gave us was more than enough for a family and the staff were helpful with everything. The only thing is say which would be a negative would be the car parks in the basement, it's too small but since we didn't use the car to explore Auckland so it's fine for me So overall would highly recommend

I was a bit worried having read a few negative reviews from recent guests. All the Covid protocols seem to be really good. The place was pretty much locked except to guests (bit more on that in a min) which is a positive I think. The service was EXCELLENT. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful or more keen to please. There was a slight hitch with my room which they spotted before I did and they arranged a new room plus a very nice gift and card to say thanks. Plus I lost an item after I left and they really tried hard to find it for me in the hotel. So I really cannot fault the service and the friendly helpful staff. The rooms are light, bright and clean and functional with some great views. I found the bed quite uncomfortable - 1 king = 2 singles so the part in the middle was v hard. Not a huge deal though. Curtains were cheap ready-mades and didn't actually cover the windows fully which is certainly a niggle and cheapens things, not to mention daybreak wake up. The thing with this apartment hotel though is the other clientele and general people in the area. I get the feeling that maybe there is a contract with MSD for people down on their luck or something like that as every time I came or went I would see scruffy odd-bods, there are "no loitering" signs at the door (hence why it's locked I think), and when I returned from dinner someone was smoking reeking weed next to the doorway. That was not a good look AT ALL. Plus during the night there were several very loud bangs - could have been doors closing I guess (they are the heavy smoke stop type) but otherwise I really don't know what they were. Disconcerting for sure. When on a business trip, and paying a pretty high rate, its not a good feeling to know you might be staying in a half-way house, and that's the feeling I had. I feel a bit bad saying that as the staff were SO good. I think they are working overtime to give business travellers a positive experience. I'm not sure what to say regarding recommendation here as nothing bad happened but if I was going to Akl again in the near future, I would be looking elsewhere and I will definitely be checking on what other types of clientele the places host.

Hated my time here, really truly wish I had taken the advice of my friends and not stayed here. Staff are miserable, unsuprising as the manager Casey Scott has a major attitude problem. Super super unsafe hotel with thugs all over the place. I think there was a blood stain on the bed. Gross.

Never have I felt so unsafe in a hotel before. Gang members and other rough, unsavoury types roam the halls and guests feel too unsafe to leave rooms. Staff are rude and unhelpful, especially the blonde tall aged lady in charge. Police are called all hours of the night and day and there are constantly sirens. I actually think I saw a drug deal the other day. DO NOT BRING CHILDREN HERE DO NOT COME HERE FOR BUSINESS Worst quest in all the world. Unless you are a gang member. Not suitable for business trips
