Grand chancellor city. 2 night stay. Good location. Suite with a city view --- Car park across the road. Poor condition. Lounge broken so unable to sit on it. The cushions sank into the bed base. The broken part was shoved under the lounge and stuck out so we kept hitting our feet on it. Mentioned this to the receptionist...

This place is in poor condition and offers minimal service. There is no indication that management or staff want to improve things. It is a good location for down town Auckland and the water front but that is all that it has to recommend it.

Update room to todays standard, especially put a bed in that deserves the name bed, starting with a new mattress. Another thing: at the reception we ordered a taxi to the airport, we were told that it would cost 65 $ cash or 70 $ cc. On arriving at the airport the taxi driver asked 80 $ for cc. He...

We booked two nights at the Grand Chancellor for a birthday weekend away with friends. I booked through Trivago and got a really good room rate for 2 nights. Positives - Location was great, short walk to the viaduct where we spent most of our time! Also easy to get to Britomart and jump on a train. Room was tidy...

The hotel is very convenient to the Viaduct and the CBD so you can just park and walk everywhere. The staff were extremely helpful and the room was lovely. Probably the best hotel I have stayed in. It was quiet and very convenient.

Found your hotel very welcoming after the long afternoon of searching for the correct one. Everything was clean and nice and close to the CBD to walk and enjoy the evening there. Parking was good even though we had not booked this prior as we had no phone number to book it.

The hotel is within walking distance to the CBD as well as the waterfront. It was easy to access with our hire car to unload our luggage. The staff were very accomodating about baggage storage, late check out and arranging a taxi for us. The room was clean and comfortable.

Kitchen short on utensils, no egg slide, peeler, tongs. No free wi fi in rooms very poor in this day and age, no free movie channel. Room a bit tired need a good clean or perhaps paint job. Staff very helpful trying to met our demands.

Full kitchen facilities but nowhere to buy food within 3 blocks after 6pm! No restaurant or room service, ancient shower over bath wet everything but me & the guy at the end of the hall must have had Adult Services on speed dial coming & going all night. Nowhere near cheap enough!!!

This hotel was very convenient, but I was woken by noise outside room at 5.30am, it sounded like rubbish trucks or the like. We didn't need any assistance as was a quick overnight stay. Staff were nice on check in/out.
