This was the second time we have ever camped in a tent and had a great time. This really is a lovely ground, the views are fabulous, the amenities very basic but they're all you need. I'm not sure I'd like to use the showers in winter as they're in a basic and fairly open tin shed. The owners were...

Yuck. This place is rundown with dirty facilities. I thought it would be good based on the reviews but it could not have been more gross. The manager is rude and made me very uncomfortable. It didn't feel safe.

Lovely camping spot right by the sea and just out of Gisborne. The nearest camping grounds to Gisborne except for Waikanae Beach which is a Top 10 and very crowded lots of kids ETC. This is very quiet lovely clean kitchen facilities 5 or 6 showers clean toilets 1 washing machine & disable facilities. Tatapouri Mantra spot right next door...

Beach front camping with amazing view and quirky picnic table!! One of the nicest motor camps I have stayed in for ages. We were lucky enough to see a seal on the beach and the water is amazing shades of blue. Facilities are clean and tidy. The sunrise is beautiful rising up out of the ocean. Next door is Dive...

We pitched a tent here for several nights - the camp ground has gone "Eco-Friendly" with a vast array of recycling bins and complete with a nesting family of penguins under the cook house. A 2 minute walk away from "Dive Tatapouri" we were able to take a tour out on the reef to give the stingrays a pat and...

Arrived for New Year's Eve - 2nd, to camp in our camper van. Our host Budge was super filled with Aloha (we from Hawai'i) and we got the most epic spot ever under a big tree on the edge of the beach grass. AWESOME. Signed up for karaoke, met Roddy and we were escorted to our spot. EPIC. Had some...

We were in a campervan and decided to stay here over any of the bigger parks nearby. Because it was winter we had the pick of the park. So choose where we could have the best view of seeing the full moon and sunrise. As this is where you will see both before the rest of the world. Everything was...

Right on the beach this little peace of paradise is a campers heaven - Good Sized camp sites and quaint little cabins set the scene for a relaxing holiday. Great facilities and very decent showers (great pressure) Location is a little out of Gisborne but close enough to pop into town for supplies The views of the sun rise and...

Although this campsite is set right by the beach, which is great, the facilities were awful. The only good thing about them was that they were unisex and I could actually shower with my hubby. I don't think I could have faced them alone!!! There was green slime on the walls and the plastic shower heads were yellow. The reception...

We stumbled upon this site by chance. So glad we did. If you're looking for luxury, then maybe this isn't for you, as the facilities are functional, but if its location, this is hard to beat. We were looking for somewhere to pitch a tent and feel we hit the jackpot. We are right on top of a beach, and...
