We arrived mid afternoon for a two night stay. We were met at the door by our charming hostess. She welcomed us and proceeded to explain where things were, what was available for breakfast and what she considered the better eating establishments in Napier, pointing them out on a map. We were then shown to our spacious room which was...

Thanks Rodney for taking the time to write a review and share your thoughts on staying at Seaview Lodge. Yes, we do have a few stairs - an internal flight and then stairs down onto Marine Parade or the pools and ocean across the road. I guess that elevation is how we get our wonderful views and guests can always...

We stayed at the Seaview Lodge for one night and enjoyed every minute of it. The location is perfect, you reach the centre of Napier in approx. 5-10 minutes walk, and there is a lovely view from the terrace. We loved the style of the B&B, it made our stay in the 1930's of Napier just perfect. Catherine is an...

So glad you enjoyed your stay here. Yes, we are very lucky with our amazing sea and city views and still just a few minutes walk to the city centre - no need to drive again. Thanks for the review and all the best to you both. Regards Catherine

We had space, comfort, luxury and the friendliest host you could wish. What a 'find'! Nothing was too much trouble and the surroundings and views from the deck were just wonderful. The bed was comfortable, the lounge area for the sole use of guests was spacious and well appointed, with refreshments topped up regularly. Wish we could have stayed longer...

So glad you enjoyed your time here. Yes, our large upstairs deck is a wonderful place to sit with a wine in hand and watch the sea in one direction or views over the city in the other! We are spoiled! Best wishes to you both, Catherine

Our 3 week trip around the North Island included some great accommodation in fantastic locations but none better than our only B&B- Seaview Lodge. Our ensuite room was spacious and very comfortable with a lovely view over the beach and Napier. Over a delicious breakfast Catherine, our host, would give options for places to see, restaurants and vineyards not to...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review ..... and for your lovely comments! I guess that is the difference between a B and B and other accommodation types - I love to give that personal service and care and add that 'extra' to the whole Hawkes Bay experience. I really enjoyed having you both here and hope...

Travelled down to Napier from Auckland, via Rotorua, arriving at this bed & breakfast, tired. This was immediately forgotten on realising that we had booked in to probably, the best B&B in Napier! The rooms were delightful, spacious, comfortable with a balcony overlooking the bay and the town. Catherine is a perfect host and the girls made good use of...

Thank you for your wonderful review - so glad the girls could make use of our large breakfast room and get in some dance practice! The joy of the beautiful wooden floor and piano! Yes, it is a shame you couldn't stay longer - next time 2 or 3 nights! Regards, Catherine

As two couples we had the upstairs area to use. The large deck offered great views over Hawkes Bay. Woke up to a great sunrise. Our rooms were very large, comfortable and clean. Catherine provided with relevant information regarding dining and was there to help when required. Catherine's "B and B" ticks all the boxes. Easy stroll down steps to...

After much searching on the internet we settled on Seaview Lodge and we couldn't have been happier. Catherine, the hostess, was so accommodating and had thought of everything. Imagine our delight when we arrived home at night to the warmth of a beautiful fire roaring away. We had the upstairs space to ourselves and felt thoroughly spoilt with the space...

Catherine was a wonderful hostess, who made our stay very comfortable. We enjoyed the spaciousness and quiet of our room and freedom to move about and enjoy our own living room. The view was amazing. Catherine makes fabulous Croissants, too!! Would highly recommend.

Thank you so much for your kind words. Yes, even though we are so close to town, due to the elevation of the house, it is peaceful - apart from hearing those waves roll in of course! Glad you enjoyed the croissants too. Regards Catherine

We stayed with Catherine at Seaview Lodge as part of an OZ/NZ tour. The Lodge is not easy to find but well worth considering if you`re in Napier. It`s just across a (quiet) road from the esplanade and lovely configuration of heated pools, open 7am-20pm and very cheap.Catherine genuinely likes people and enjoys being hospitable in the best traditions of looking after weary...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Yes, we are blessed with our location - pools across the road, ocean behind and only a three minute walk to town! I was happy to do a load of complimentary washing for you and great too that you could have that lunch time check out on the last day...

We could only stay one night on a road trip through North Island but would have liked to have stayed longer. Catherine is a great host who has the knack of knowing just how much time to spend with her guests and how much to leave them to their own devices. Fabulous house with antique furniture, lovely comfortable room, great view...
