The County Hotel is the most charming hotel I have stayed at. Everyone at the hotel could not have been more accommodating and friendly. The rooms are spacious and exceptionally clean and well appointed. A lot of details you don't see at hotels, such a port wine in the library, iced water and fresh fruit in the lobby. The breakfast...

When in Napier stay at the art deco style places. Right in town and close to everything. Clean rooms with helpful staff. A real fun experience to stay in a place like this. With in the hotel there is a funky bar also. Also check out the hot pools on Marine Parade.

This is the 3rd time I've stayed at the County. Lovely hotel, very nice atmosphere, quirky. Small personal hotel with nice touches such as welcome biscuits (cookies to North Americans), free fruit, port in the library. Rooms are spacious, the place is very clean, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. There are a couple of shortcomings, some rooms...

Really enjoyed my stay here. It makes a change to stay in a hotel that is different. It was clean and tidy, staff very friendly. The breakfast was superb, French toast with bacon, maple syrup and bananas. In my top five all time breakfasts!!!! Location great, hotel has its own off street carpark. This hotel is nice. Very nice. But all the good things are forgotten when just a single bad thing causes annoyance. In this case the wifi. Whilst it worked in the common area, it was too weak to work in our room. This should be an easy fix. Apart from this, the hotel was classically pleasant and had abundant amenities....

A really quaint old hotel. Large room with antique-style furniture. It's like stepping back 100 years in time. Service was really friendly. A block from the sea and close to shops and restaurants. All the rooms are unique and names after local birds. Quite an experience!

From the very friendly introduction, (we got shown to our room), we enjoyed this 'different' hotel. Our room whilst not huge was terrific, with lots of deco touches. Everything from the 'lift floor indicator' to the radiogram in reception are well chosen. Breakfast was comprehensive & served by friendly staff. It's a great spot to explore Napier.

Faithfully refurbished as a boutique hotel, the County Hotel now stands as Napier's premier Hotel. The hotel is home to an extremely popular, multi award winning Wine Street Restaurant, the superb Churchill's Champagne Lounge, an intimate library, well-appointed function areas, conference facilities and eighteen luxurious guest rooms and offer a variety of accommodation packages.
