From the moment the front door was opened we knew we were somewhere special. The property is a fabulously restored Art Deco house with incredible attention to detail and quality. The views out across the town, beach and bay would be enough to stop you in any other property but not this one as there is so much more to...

We just had a marvellous stay with Larry and Joan at The Masters Lodge. What a beautiful Art Deco home, set up above Napier, with amazing views of the town and the bay. Our visit was memorable for the attention to detail, and the excellence of their hospitality. So many little touches to enrich our experience, and make us feel...

Joan and Larry have created paradise in Napier at The Masters Lodge and we feel so fortunate to have been able to stay there. Every single detail has been considered to enhance their guests comfort. I mentioned that the yellow roses in their garden were the most beautiful flowers I had ever seen and lo and behold, a single yellow...

Masters Lodge is a very special place, and we feel fortunate that we were able to stay there during Art Deco Weekend 2015. Larry and Joan are not only very gracious, their attention to our every need, some of which we were not even aware, was outstanding. They are delightful, interesting people, and the Lodge is beautiful and extremely well...

Larry and Joan made us feel at home as soon as we met them. Our every need was anticipated and met. Cocktails and wonderful hors d'ouvres served on the veranda looking out at the Pacific. Breakfast was delicious....prepared and served by our hosts. The house is gorgeous! Filled with gorgeous and sometimes whimsical antique furniture. Our room was specious, with...

This was our second visit to the Master's Lodge. It was even better than our first. Joan and Larry are fantastic hosts, that anticipate your needs. The house, garden and view are all very special. The only regret is that we could stay longer.

Masters Lodge was fantastic! The Kidnappers suite we stayed in was just beautiful, and we could not have had better hosts. The restaurant recommendations were also perfect. All in all, a most fabulous stay, and can't wait to return!

We spent four nights at Masters Lodge during our bucket list trip to New Zealand. How fortunate we were to share the lodge with Larry and Joan, who had every detail figured out to make the visit forever memorable. The lodge, or really their home, was immaculate. Our room was in perfect condition with great amenities, super art work, all...

We just left the Masters Lodge in Napier. Everything was perfection! Joan and Larry went out of their way to help us enjoy Napier in every possible way. The view from our room was spectacular, the breakfasts and the dinner were delicious AND every need was met before we realized we had a need. We DEFINITELY recommend staying at the...
