We've stayed in a number of bed and breakfasts in several countries, and can't remember any that we enjoyed as much as Villa Vista. The house is an attractive sprawling Edwardian villa that's been renovated and furnished tastefully but not so that you don't feel comfortable in it. The guest bedrooms are upstairs away from the residential part of the...

With wonderful views from our balcony of Hawkes Bay and the art deco town of Napier this luxury B and B was a quiet haven. Spotless room with large comfortable bed, fresh flowers, complimentry homemade cakes and biscuits in an elegant period house with the owners giving discreet but friendly service. The breakfast in the beautifully furnished dining room was...

Probably the best B&B we stayed during our two months in NZ. Large comfortable rooms with fantastic views, enormous breakfast, and a wonderful hostess... what more need be said!

We stayed two nights at Villa Vista. Tina was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was at the top of the house and looked out over the town and bay, a fabulous view. We also had a balcony and sitting with a glass of wine looking at the view after a day sightseeing was very relaxing. Tina supplied plenty of...

We have stayed at Villa Vista twice. The first time in 2009 and again this year. Talk about a wonderful place to stay. It has the feeling that all b&b's should have: that you're staying with family. The family that want to stay with! Tina is very welcoming and accommodating and the atmosphere is wonderfully relaxed, a real home away...

We enjoyed a nice stay at Villa Vista. The streets in the Bluff Hill area are narrow and steep, but very workable. There is a nearby Bluff Hill Vista near the B & B which overlooks the Napier Shipping area. Restaurants are nearby - we enjoyed the GMK for a fresh and healthy lunch. The Marine Parade is great for...

This review is long overdue as my partner, friends and I have been staying at Villa Vista over Art Deco Weekend for about 5 years or so. Tina and Tim always greet us with the warmest of welcomes and staying with them is one of the highlights of the trip. Villa Vista itself is a stunningly majestic old home with...

We traveled as a couple with an adult daughter. No discount, so $540 for two nights. Not worth the hefty price tag. Stairs filthy. Shower in en-suite was filthy. Second rate bathrooms. Middle of the road decor in rooms. Nice view from room with balcony, but the niehgborhood kids play in the field overlooking the room, and it is very...

This review is quite bizzare ,from a guest who was extremely complimentary during their stay with us. Loved the house, the garden and the breakfasts . We had several lengthy chats about her garden ,her many roses and delphiniums that were eaten by groundhogs . So I am quite perplexed that it has been said that we were unfriendly. We...

An old house of real character onthe bluff above Napier. Large rooms, our had a good view over the coast. Busy house with plenty of guests. Very helpful Hosts who are willing to go the extra yard. Breakfast is good and wholesome and certainly sets one up for the day. We are picky; but would strongly recommend Villa Vista for...

We spent two nights at this delightful B&B. Located in an old Victorian house on the bluff. Very large room. Top notch food and service. Tina, the host, is obviously well versed in how to run an excellent B&B. Good value and highly recommended!
