Just steps from the beach our room (313) was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Stay away from the mini-bar($$) and enjoy the free coffee instead. Several good cafes within a short walk (Thirsty Whale, Gintrap). The only draw back is the $15 taxi fare into historic Napier for shopping and people watching. In house cafe (Milk and Honey)...

A modern well equipped hotel overlooking the sea near the port. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Needed to stay an extra night due to the earth quake situation and the staff organised this with no fuss. Rooms are clean, comfortable and well equipped. Nice restaurant for breakfast and other meals. There are other restaurants and bars in the...

This is a lovely hotel just outside the town of Napier about 5 minutes drive from the Art Deco centre of the town. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming, advising us of where we were located in relation to the Art Deco area as well as pointing out restaurants and places of interest. The room was on the ground...

Customer service second to none. Clean and homely with a huge bathroom, luxury! Whilst offering little extras like free plunger coffee and biscuits. Thank you. Ask about newspaper when booking in if you require one.

The room we stayed in was five star. It was a newer one in the building adjacent to reception on the upper level with a balcony and sea view. Very nice view of the bay from the room. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was very nice, and great view. Hotel restaurant/Milk and Honey seems to be popular with the locals. It...

Spent a single night on a tour of New Zealand. Hotel was clean and comfortable and provided a good night's rest. The hotel is well located with restaurants and activities within short walking distances, as well as being only a few minutes drive to Emerson and Tennyson Streets for walking the cool Art Deco buildings. The only minor complaint was...

Dear bkterp2001 It's a pity you were only in Hawkes Bay for 1 night as there are so many places to explore in the area! In regards to drinks being included in the room price...this is not the case. There is no where on our checkin welcome letter, that we gave you, that states this and our staff are fully...

Very friendly and helpful staff, very nice and clean room. The location is also very good, right near the sea port, with fishing boats gliding in and out. The milk and Honey restaurant is a nice and convenient choice for meals.
