This hostel is lovely, no bunk beds in the dorms and the kitchen & bathroom was immaculate. Beautiful view to the beach and very tidy. Wifi was not great but was ok and worked better close to reception. Staff were friendly and helpful.. I would stay here again.

Unless you are with a group of 6 you may have to share your room with strangers. Otherwise this accommodation is excellent. Modern, clean, good cooking facilities, friendly (European!) staff, bike friendly, good beachside location, close to supermarket supplies. It is a longish walk to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds and the ferries but if you have a bicycle, no problems.

Actually, SEABEDS is not really a hostel. It used to be a motel in the past. Now the rooms and the kitchen are of a very modern inviting design. I'd love to live in one of the rooms and have the kitchen to myself. When we were there, the lady running the place was German, and she was ever so...

We stayed in this hostel for 6 nights, in private rooms. Shared kitchen facilities are fantastic. Rooms are spacious, clean and beautiful. Staff is user friendly. We can recommend this place to the full.

Let's face it, hostels are places for sleeping and eating. The dormrooms are fine, airy and peaceful. The kitchen though, was the life of this hostel, very large, spotless and well equipped. Nothing to complain about here.

The loacation of Seabeds is wonderfull. You cross the street and you are on the beach. So you have a perfect view outsside from the kitchen over the bays. Maria the owner and Anja where very helpfull and perfect hosts. The rooms and the kitchen are wonderfull and staying in a dorm is really cheap.

One of the nicer hostels I have stayed in. Clean and very friendly staff. Easy to meet other travelers. Bed not bunks. Easy walk into town. While the WiFi is free there is a limited amount of data you have access to. WiFi limited to only certain area of hostel.

I love this place and will surely return. It has unobstructed sea views from the balcony and lounge/dining room. The kitchen is spotless (cleaned every night at 9.30pm, so it is spick and span for your breakfast preparation) with lovely and good quality utensils. It is also colourful, has lovely crockery and has a generous set of spices for guests...

When I first arrive at seabeds, it was so nice that I thought I was not in the right backpacker. This hostel is incredible : Kitchen fully equiped with everything you need, most of the rooms have sea views (also the kitchen), everything is clean, really good shower, comfy queen size bed and a lot of space in the room......
