The Lake House has to be one of the best B&Bs in New Zealand. Fantastic amenities, and a beautiful, peaceful location with Lake Rotorua just a stone throw from the veranda. The hospitality of Carol and Ken is amazing, it is like staying with old friends. We had a welcoming tea with home made goodies on our arrival, lavish breakfasts, and...

The lake house is truly beautiful. Staying with the hosts ken & carol, was like visiting an aunt and uncle! We travelled with our 11 week old daughter, and they had set up a portacot for us, and were just wonderful with her. They gave us brilliant advise and help on what to do with our time. We had so...

We enjoyed our stay over the Easter weekend at The Lake House. To be honest when we first drove into town we were a bit worried about how crowded the town would be being Easter but when we got to the Lake House it was like a little paradise away from the crowds. Ken and Carol are lovely and had...

Staying at The Lake House was one of the first experiences we had upon arriving in New Zealand from the USA...and what an AWESOME beginning!! Ken and Carol Saxby were the perfect hosts!! They were both so helpful, kind, and informative (they made us aware of some places we never would have known about), and Carol's breakfasts (my personal favorite...

Its location is also away from any sulphur smells you get nearer to town and allows easy access to all attractions around Lake Rotorua. Rooms...

A beautiful B&B run by two lovely hosts Carol and Ken. We were welcomed by both of them upon arrival and they immediately made us feel at home. The Lake house stands to its name. Just on the lake. We had a beautiful room which was clean with crisp linen and with all amenities, and with views of the lake....

A lovely guesthouse run by Ken and Carol who made us feel right at home. The room was clean and quaint and the breakfasts really good! They organised outings for us locally and were of great knowledge to all our questions. A definate recommended spot close to Rotorua. thanks again for a lovely stay! Beautiful property in a beautiful location and Ken and Carol are very welcoming. This was our first real experience of B&B and we found the whole experience a bit overbearing; breakfasting around one table with other guests and being told what the cooked breakfast item was going to be - no choice. However our room was spacious, clean and comfortable...

We felt right at home as soon as we stepped into this B&B. Carol & Ken are such lovely people who are really passionate about their home and surroundings. They helped us with bookings and gave us plenty of tips on things to see and do in Rotorua for the three days we were there. The breakfasts were a definite...
