From the initial e mail stating early check in would incur a $30 per hour fee to the copious amount of info required when checking in I had my reservations about the “resort “ Glasses and cups were not clean. All the outside chairs had bird droppings on them. When we got back our room which had been serviced which entailed only new towels but they did not even make the bed. This is the first time ever we have never had the bed made when our room has been serviced.Mugs and glasses once again not clean. Received another email this morning late check out will incur a $30 penalty. No fear we will flee at first light never to return.

This property is situated right on the lake and it is blissful to wake up to the sight of waters. It is advisable to keep the doors shut as the dusk approaches because there are a lot fireflies around which often enter your room. The rooms are spacious and the hotel management is courteous and helpful.

My friend brought this lovely get away for my 50th Birthday and finally we were able to lock in a weekend to go away.. we had both had a hard stressful year, so this was the treat we needed.. On arriving to our destination, the first thing we noticed was all the overgrown grass and dandelions at the entrance to the resort, it looked very untidy. On entering the car park it was quite clear that there hadn't been a gardener or grounds person for some time.. we got shown to our room (dust and cobwebs all on the tiled floor of the entrance to where we needed to go) our room only had one bed! my friend had specifically asked for 2 beds, lights not working in the bathroom..so we then got moved to another room.. where they had to make up the pull out couch as the 2nd bed.. Cleaning in general was very poor, plughole in sink dirty, the rubber strip on edge of shower hanging off, the fridge was leaking and barely working so we had to put towels down.. Then we get told if we want to dine in the restaurant, there is no liquor licence!! come on now this is the weekend, and busy times ahead.. so we decided on room service that night. The next day again another stuff up, we booked a double massage and arrive there and get told one of the workers hadn't turned up to work so we would have to do the massage seperately!! so then we had to re book for the next day, the massage was very nice, and they were very apologetic about the muck up.. all the outdoor spa area needed a good waterblast and sweeping, cobwebs etc The saving grace of this place was the chef! , the food was fantastic , credit to him. It really needs a good sprucing up and maintenance done in all areas..

We booked a superior room for a romantic weekend away, the view of the lake was lovely. View of the pool not so much - it was dirty on the bottom. The grounds are sad and in need of a tidy up, grass was long and weeds in the garden. Overall cleanliness of the room was was poor. Toilet brush had old toilet paper in it. Balcony was dirty and covered in cobwebs. The room was spacious, but not particularly clean. There were old clothing tags in the bedside drawer, the pillow protectors were stained, as were the cups. The kitchen door handles were dusty and sticky. There was no dish wash to wash dishes. On the second day when we returned to our room, after requesting a service, the dirty dishes were on the sink - the sink was clean, but not the bench or the dishes. There was no clean tea towel, no bin liners in the rubbish bins, no bath mat. No vacuuming done. Sorry, but at over $240 per night, I expected more than this...then 2% was added for using a credit card to pay.... Will not stay here again. So very disappointed.

Not entirly happy as my friend and I came down to rotorua for a break away and stress relief . On arrival the receptionists was friendly , but I did question why they didn't follow my instructions when I email to charge my card as I explained it was a surprise for my friend . The room was ok basic but clean. Went to the restrant for dinner food was amazing but the language in the kitten towards the waitress and when there was quiet a few people in the restrant was appalling and discusting especially when sware words is every second word . Doesnt matter what situation has happen you need to teach your chef know what is said at high pitch multiple times can be heard in dinning room and it not called for it ruined our whole experience.
