Went during October for a romantic getaway. Staff were very attentive and upgraded our room. Massage was great, as was lakeside location. Nice small resort bar and delicious food at the restaurant. A bit away from the main Rororua CBD so you'll need a vehicle, but an advantage is that there's no sulfuric stink! Would definitely come here again for...

Initially, my husband thought we must be lost as we were driving away from the main area of the city towards the slightly shabby suburban part of town. Unfortunately we were headed in the right direction....the 'resort' is slap bang in the middle of suburbia. Not much of a holiday feel to start with. The room was basic, not very...

It's pretty expensive for the massage but since it's so well raved we had to try it. We had to wait about an hour till it's our turn, so we dipped ourselves in the thermal pool. There's a couple of different temp pools, so you can experiment your lvl of preference. I have never fallen asleep before with water showering...

I am from Auckland and I was seeking for a relaxing place near the lake in Rotorua in wintertime. After a short research on the web, Wai Ora Resort and Spa came up. It seem exacly what I was looking for. Infact, I had the most relaxing weekend there. I stayed in Superior Suite where I really enjoyed the Private...

My wife and I enjoyed this hotel but our short stay prevented us from indulging in the wonderful facilities. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and were shown some of the facilities onsite. Our room was cozy, clean, and the room contained many amenities as well. There is ample free parking and driving to the city centre took 10 minutes....

We originally booked for 2 nights but ended up staying 4! - This has to be one of the most relaxing hotels I've ever visited. The suite was superb, the spa facilities great and the beef in the restaurant probably the best I've had anywhere. But outstanding where the staff - some of the most friendly I've met in any...

Overall the hotel was OK, with a nice view of Rotorua lake. The room was small but comfortable and the service was not bad. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast which did not deliver especially considering the reputation of the restaurant as a fine dining venue in Rotorua. However big compliments to the CEO Bryan Hughes who took the time...

A recent stop here by myself may have been a bit wasted since I didn't really use the facilities apart from taking a bit of a walk around. They did look good but aside from the basics, I think you need to book ahead to be sure to have the treatments etc you want. But anyway, for me the room...

A truly memorable trip. Fantastic food at every meal ( especially recommend rib fillet) stayed 10 days. Welcoming efficient staff who would go above and beyond on every occasion to ensure the best possible experience. Very comfortable room, enjoyed the spa treatments and made the most of the mineral pools. Superb! Staff always happy to drop us at any location...
