Elevator reaches to the top floor. Radiator heater and hot water thermally heated for all rooms. All studio units come with a spa bath or hot tub. The Motel has two private mineral pools for customer and a trampoline for children to play.Gateway International Motel located only 1minute drive from Rotorua city centre. 15 minutes’ drive from the Rotorua Airport; 3 minutes’ drive from the Lake side, 5 minutes’ drive from Redwood forest, Te Puia Maori village and golf club. Top one Fish ‘n’ chip takeaway shop in New Zealand directly opposite the motel.Gateway International Motel offers 15 self-contained accommodation units with at least one LCD TV for ALL units, offering kitchen facilities and full kitchen for some units. A refrigerator, microwave and cutlery are standard in all rooms. Each room is serviced daily. Owner on-site, wireless internet and children’s cot are free of charge. Free parking. Lockable garage for bikes, motorbikes etc. Ironing facilities available from reception. Units 1 – 5 (Ground floor) Units 6 – 10 (First floor) Units 11 – 16 (Top floor)

Absolute dog s#!t of a place... it’s filthy and looks nothing like the pictures on booking.com, dishes, sink, bathtub we’re all full of grime. Was woken up at 7am to loud banging on the roof which didn’t stop for over half an hour. Owner played oblivious to this & wouldn’t offer any partial refund.... DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! The building needs to be condemned it’s that bad....

Hi Travellers This motel was listed on very economical price on booking.com. We purchased the motel stay for one night. Location of this motel and the staff is ok. We didn't like the cleaning standard in the motel. The room had mist smell and cutlery wasn't clean properly. There were lots of black sulphur mark on the bathroom tab and on the spa bath. Bedsheet cover had of dust on it. Overall if you want to travel solo or just the stay. .. Then it will be best to do but not recommended with kids. Cheers!!!

Terrible beyond belief. The hotel looked nothing like what was advertised on hotels.com The room was dated, dark and smelt of smoke. The NZ Police were there arresting a clearly drug addicted ‘guest’. Found that they were housing extremely dodgy people so was completely unsuitable for a family to stay there. We didn’t even check in and manager refused to refund us. We had booked that day so could not give the 48hours notice of cancellation. It was a nightmare. After more than an hour of arguing, phone calls to hotels.com and support from the police officers who were there, they agreed to refund 4 of 5 nights’ payment. We then had to drive to a different hotel owned by the same person to get the refund. A truly upsetting, stressful and deeply disappointing experience. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!…

If you don't want to be a motel owner don't be. I've just had my first worst experience at a Motel. I'll put up with most things and never had a complaint, until now!!! Gateway International, Why even bother having a bed? I might as well have slept on the floor it was as hard as concrete!! The light blew as soon as we turned it on. The TV turns off on its own and also turns down on its own. The first thing I noticed was a beetle or something crawling across the kitchen floor. Gross!! One pillow per person as thin as paper and no spare!! My husband and I are that annoyed with the state of this place we are took the loss and went somewhere else . $235 per night, this is absolute robbery. We will NEVER stay here again!!
