This is a very comfortable, spacious room that is a very short walk to the lake and to all the restaurants and downtown area. It was easy to drive to as well (and appreciate the free parking). Very helpful staff and the room was clean and well appointed. Soaked in their geothermal spa as well.

The hotel is close to Lake Rotorua. I loved walking there and seeing the beautiful black swans. The park across the street has an amazing tree shaped "pile" of bikes as a center piece. It is lit up at night, like a Christmas tree. Close to shopping, if that is what you would like to do. An ice cream store...

The location of this hotel is perfect right at the end of Eat Street and a short stroll across the park to the lake front. It is a corporate hotel but that does mean that you know what to expect. the room was good and had a view right down to the lake. The only downside to the room was...

Room we were given smelt musty and damp, told staff and they moved us but new room did not have a view that was as good. Thought they might have offered us a free drink or something after we were sent to such an awful room but no nothing offered. Room for the price and class of hotel I thought...

Had a two day stop touring south of Auckland. It's nicely located with a short walk to the lake and the eat street just right next to it. Rooms are typical Novotel fashion, well equipped, well maintained and clean. Breakfast was a bit hectic with tour groups passing by but plenty of selection. Sufficient free parking space available next to...

Very busy hotel , getting lots and lots of coach trips in. Breakfast a little bit chaotic, as the coaches leave early and there's lots to clear up/refill. On the whole the breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The hotel is very attractive in the communal areas, but the bedrooms are looking very tired. Shame the windows don't open...

We stayed for two nights and found this a very comfortable stop over. Nice and clean, staff very friendly, with a bar and restaurant which provided a good choice. The place has all the services you would expect, including hot mineral bath a must in Rotorua. Situated close to the lake make this hotel one to consider. We would stay...

Stayed for two nights, hotel not far from lake, its also walking distance to the town. The breakfast was excellent, with a chef on hand to cook eggs how you like. Bar has lovely atmosphere with a central unit with coals to give it a cosy feel.

The location of the Novotel is awesome, right by the lake with eat street very handy as well. The markets on Sunday's are quite nice to browse through. Overall the property is clean and tidy but I wasn't wowed. I would recommend to book a lake view room as our "city view" consisted of the car park which was very...

Very poorly maintained property. Scuffed walls and furniture, stained upholstery, worn carpets, chipped bathroom sink, cracked caulking in bathtub. Worse yet, stained and cracked ceiling plaster above the bed from what was apparently a water leak in the room above. (Lucky it didn't come crashing down in the night.) Also, windows do not open to take advantage of the fresh...
